These are as close as you’ll get to going bootie-free. Durable but ultraflexible, our updated R2® Yulex™ Hybrid Booties offer supplemental warmth and protection while maintaining a traditional barefoot feel. Now made from lighter and stretchier 2mm 85% natural rubber/15% synthetic rubber by polymer content with a fast-drying 95% polyester (51% recycled)/5% elastane inverted microgrid thermal lining, their minimalist split-toe construction gives you superior dexterity and a closer connection to the deck of your board, while soft but durable Supratex soles have rubber touch points to maximize grip. The face fabric is 88% recycled polyester/12% elastane, and the face fabric and lining are now solution-dyed—using 86% less water than conventional dyeing. Both are laminated with water-based AquaA™ glue that’s free from harmful volatile organic compounds (VOCs). All seams are triple glued and internally taped. The low-bulk design also slides easily into swim fins for cold-water bodysurfing. Natural rubber content is derived from sources that are Forest Stewardship Council® certified by the Rainforest Alliance. Made in a Fair Trade Certified™ facility. Suggested water temperatures: 55–60° F/13–16° C.

Note

We stand behind everything we make, including our wetsuits. But wetsuits require care if they are going to perform and wear the way they were intended. Patagonia is not responsible for wetsuits that are abused or show normal wear and tear over time. Scratches and fading are inevitable, as are tears from the occasional close call with a fin. Biorubber

Our renewable Yulex natural rubber is tapped from hevea trees that can produce rubber for over 30 years; it replaces conventional, nonrenewable neoprene. The raw natural rubber comes form sources that are Forest Stewardship Council certified by the Rainforest Alliance - meaning the trees aren't grown on newly clear-cut rainforest land, like some of the world's supply. By replacing neoprene with natural rubber, we're reducing CO2 emissions by up to ~80% in the manufacturing process.
