Looking for shelter on the flats but don’t like wearing a hat, mask and gloves? Made from ultralight, superbreathable 100% polyester with 25-UPF sun protection, our technical Sunshade Hoody helps you stay cool and covered in tropical conditions. Providing full upper-body coverage with a cool, airy feel and a movement-oriented fit, this flattering hooded sun shirt fits beautifully and works hard to keep you comfortable on the longest and hottest days. The hood shields the head and neck and fits easily over a baseball cap; the wrap-over design at the neck provides better airflow while shading the throat. A hidden zippered pocket on the lower-left hem holds small essentials, and thumb-holes on the cuffs keep the sleeves over the backs of the hands for additional protection.
Features
  • Lightweight, quick-drying 100% polyester double knit with 25-UPF sun protection
  • Straight cuffs with thumb holes for additional sun protection for the backs of the hands
  • Hidden zip closure on lower front pocket
  • 173 g (6.1 oz)

bluesign® Approved Fabric

Patagonia has worked with bluesign technologies since 2000 to evaluate and reduce resource consumption in our materials supply chain, and to assist us with managing the chemicals, dyes and finishes used in the process. bluesign technologies, based in Switzerland, works at each step in the textile supply chain to approve chemicals, processes, materials, and products that are safe for the environment, safe for workers, and safe for the end customers.

In 2007, Patagonia became the first brand to officially join the network of bluesign® system partners.

Any fabric you see that’s bluesign® approved offers the highest level of consumer safety by employing methods and materials in their manufacture that conserve resources and minimize impacts on people and the environment.
