Ironclad Guarantee
We guarantee everything we make. If you are not satisfied with one of our products at the time you receive it, or if one of our products does not perform to your satisfaction, return it to the store you bought it from or to Patagonia for a repair, replacement or refund.
At Patagonia we’re in business to save our home planet. That means keeping your gear in use for as long as possible, through our Ironclad Guarantee. If there is a problem with your Patagonia product we will always try and help you.
Our products are built to endure tough conditions, for years. However, excessive or unintended use and normal wear and tear, over time, can cause changes to condition or characteristics that aren’t covered by our guarantee.
Find out what is covered by our Ironclad Guarantee and not, how to start a repair request and how to return unused products via our Customer support page.
Even if the damage to a product is caused by improper care or fair wear and tear, we are often able to repair it under our repairs service so it works as well as ever. Send it to us for a repair evaluation and we’ll let you know what is possible.
Our Ironclad Guarantee does not affect your statutory rights in case of a lack of conformity. For information on your statutory rights in Europe please see here.
What is covered by our Ironclad Guarantee?
We guarantee all products that we make, but over time, fair wear and tear can cause our products to change condition or characteristics (examples include changes in colour, touch, waterproofness and lamination). This is particularly true when care guidelines are not followed or when they sustain damage under extreme conditions.
The following circumstances are excluded from our satisfaction-based Ironclad Guarantee:
- Normal wear and tear: ageing or deteriorating from ordinary use, including scratches, scuffs, pilling, loss of gloss and changes in colour.
- Changes due to improper, excessive or unintended use, or not following care instructions.
- Modifications to products, unless they are repairs carried out by a Patagonia authorized repair partner or by yourself or someone else using our care and repair guides.
- Changes caused by external influences, such as accidents, impacts, extreme moisture, heat, frost, chemicals, sharp objects or overloading.
- Products not manufactured by Patagonia (third party products sold in our stores or online, such as Miir, Hestra and StormCare).
