OurPower

In 2018, 19 entrepreneurs, activists and visionaries founded Austria's first citizen-owned energy cooperative, OurPower. Now, they are a community of more than 400 members. You can get power from their local projects or invest by becoming a member of OurPower.

They have also launched a citizen-led political initiative called Bürger☼innen-Power to advocate for a new energy law in accordance with the EU requirements. The basis for this initiative is the EU Clean Energy for All Package, which places citizens at the center of the energy market—allowing them to generate power themselves, share it, buy it from private individuals and organize themselves in energy communities.
