What other digital technologies does Patagonia use?

Social media pixels: We have implemented one or more social media pixels or other Java script enabled trackers on the Site (“social media pixel”). We currently use the following pixels: the Pinterest pixel; the Snap pixel; and the Reddit pixel. Social media pixels are made available to us by the relevant social media platform. They enable us to identify you if you landed on the Site by clicking on an ad or a link that we published on the social media platform and identify to us which products you subsequently acquired from us. The tracker drops a cookie on your computer or mobile phone when it is first loaded by your browser or app. By means of the tracker, the social media platform and Patagonia collect your IP address (including associated location information), your user agent or browser string and specific information on how you interact with the Site. The user agent or browser string provides the basics as to which operating system your computer or mobile phone is running, basic security information, screen resolution and the Internet browser that you are using. If you wish to opt-out from the social media pixel please change your cookie preferences on our Site and withhold your consent for advertising cookies. When you do so, the social media platform will no longer receive your personal data through our Site. The social media platform will however retain historic data related to your cookie id. Any request related to such historic data will need to be directed to the relevant social media platform.

Widgets: Widgets may place cookies on your device. We currently use the widget of Spotify (Privacy Policy and Terms of Use). This widget provides you with the possibility to listen to one of our Patagonia podcasts on Spotify.

HTML5 Local Storage: HTML5 Local Storage in the browser is different from cookies, but can be used for the same purpose (to identify you). You can control the purpose for which HTML5 Local Storage is used by using the cookie controls outlined above.

FullStory: We integrate FullStory, a Digital Experience Insights (DXI) tool, into our website to enhance functionality and enrich the overall user experience. This tool is instrumental in analyzing user interactions and provides valuable insights into how visitors engage with our website. FullStory uses first-party cookies, with its recording script generating a single first-party cookie containing a user ID for session tracking. This cookie is an essential component that enables us to understand users' behavior during their sessions on our site. As a performance cookie, FullStory operates solely with your explicit consent.

Social Network Interaction and Widgets: Social network widgets, buttons, and plug-ins on the Site passively transmit data regarding a social network’s members to that social network. These technologies may allow a social network (such as Twitter or YouTube) to personally identify its members and to know the web pages its members have visited. This is true wherever social network buttons are embedded. How does GA4 with Consent Mode work?

• Consent-based data collection: When you provide consent, Google Analytics collects anonymised data about your use of our website, such as the pages you visit, time spent on the site, and interactions. If consent is not given, GA4 can still collect aggregated data without using cookies or personally identifiable information (PII), enabling basic measurement in compliance with privacy regulations.
