This will be my 3rd generation of this Nano hybrid top top to purchase since I love it that much; I want it in lots of colors. If you move outdoors with a backpack on, this is a must for cooler weather. Btw, I am 5'6 118, on average, petite on top, and order my usual XS since I'm not looking for bulk when i'm moving outdoors and am so glad Patagonia keeps making this technical piece of clothing!

Armpits tight
Love the look and fit, except it is tight in the armpits!! I can only comfortably wear it over one layer because this issue. If the armpits were a touch bigger, I could fit a vest or light fleece under it. I think if I went up a size it would be too big. Tge color, fabrics, softness and weight are terrific.
My wardrobe is filled with Patagonia items - all except coats. The size I normally wear is small. I sometimes get M for tops if I want a little more room. The very few Pat coats that I have are size M, but they are REALLY too fitted to wear much under so they are warm weather items. The Nano Air jacket that I have (bought this year on sale)is size ... Read MoreM. The shoulders are big, sleeves long, but OK, bust, middle, and hip are all VERY fitted. This new hybrid style is about the same in shoulders, but there is room in the bust, middle, and hips. YEA!! Thank you design team! The only bad difference is that the sleeves are 3 inches too long so have to see if they can be hemmed cause 3 inches is a big cuff. SO happy I got the purple color that always sells out right away. Maybe make more when you do any shade of purple.
This jacket feels very lightweight, but it is warm! I tried wearing it for a run when it was about 38F with a t shirt underneath and I was too warm. It seems perfect for me in temps in the 40s if I'm walking and doing something not too brisk - impressive amount of warmth for something so light.

I could probably have sized down for a snugger fit but my usual size skims the body nicely and looks great with a layer underneath. Overall this is an expensive jacket, but really comfy and useful for in between temps and layering.
Also, I washed it once already following the care instructions and it washed and dried up perfectly!
