I'm 5'5 with a athletic slim build. I have the grey in 30 with 31 inseam. Wish I had got the 31 with 29 inseam, but now purchasing them in black! These pants have been through a lot with me from work to just going out into town for dinners and running errands. Not one tear even through thick bush. They are light weight and perfect for hot... Read More weather hikes and dry very quickly. I can't express enough how much I love my point peak pants. Get them!
Love the Point Peak pants so far. I'm 5'5" and it's nice to have a pair of technical pants that fit (29" inseam). The 31" waist is a little small with thermals on but seems to stretch out with wear so the velcro tabs on the sides are a nice touch. Pants are pretty lightweight material but feel burly enough to take some... Read More scrapes. The lace hook on the bottom is nice and helps keep snow out of my boots. Probably get another pair before they are discontinued because there aren't enough short people in this part of the world:).
These are by far the best trail paints I’ve owned. Very good temperature range. Living in Norway the climate shifts wildly between wet damp humid cold to clear dry air. These pants look good off the trail as well — work well in the saddle on my daily bike commute. Just the right amount of stretch to strength.

I use these pants for a 3 day backpacking adventure in Shasta County. I was very pleased on how dry they maintain when it unexpectedly started snowing. The deep front pockets are super useful when you want to store bulky items. I usually keep my pocket knife or a map there. Over the fit was very comfortable, they definitely fit sung.
I picked these for summer scrambling and bush whacking here in the Chugach range. The pants are feather light, non-binding in any way when climbing over, under, and around blow downs, deadfall, and thick underbrush.
The velcro waist adjusters are a great idea. No need for a belt. I ordered these one waist size up for the option of extending the se... Read Moreason a bit with a baselayer if needed.
Best of all, I was able to order these with a 29 inch inseam. Perfect fit for me.
I'm giving them a 5 star, but will know more about the durability in a few hundred miles of wear.
I'm very happy with these pants so far. They do run a bit small but sizing up provided a good "technical" fit that's not too baggy in the cuff but still big enough to fit around the top of a hiking boot. So many hiking pants these days are much too baggy in the lower leg. Looking forward to some long days in the high mountains t... Read Morehis summer wearing these.
Rugged pant with great features. Good for cooler temps. Would be hot in warm summer weather. Tough outer finish repels trail rash. Elasticized waist with adjustable Velcro straps on both sides. Velcro closures at the bottoms of each leg. Good assortment of zippered pockets. Highly recommended.
I received the pants a few days ago. First Impression, Material is strechy an robust. After first hikes, the pant feels so good. I will use it for our Trekking in Norway this Summer. Fit is regular to slim fit, for me it fits great
First issue is I needed a short leg which these parts have as an optional size
The boot hook and Velcro adjuster at the cuff add alpine versatility. The lack of instep scruff patches might deter some, but I feel these are too light for crampon based activities. Im finding these to be my reach for soft shell ish pant for non snow activities
I bought these on a whim and do not regret it. The fit is great, I have short legs so the Short inseam works perfect for me, the slimmer fitting legs make the pants feel more like how I want a pair of jeans to fit when I'm at home, but the leg opening manages to be wide enough for bulky mid-high cut hiking boots without making the pants look b... Read Moreaggy. I've never had pants with a crotch like these and it is game changing, especially on trails where I'm lifting my legs high to get over rocks. I did 5 miles at a local mountain where it was damp and humid, then I took them to the Green Mountains to do some of the Long trail and Mt. Mansfield, both days were wet and rainy, the DWR coating helped keep me dry long enough to get rain gear out in a huge downpour.
I like the look of these pants, and the material, too. Stretchy but not tooo stretchy. I've only worn them once, but they did what pants are supposed to do. Perhaps just a touch small around the waist.
These pants look great first of all. Secondly, these are the most comfortable form-fitted pants I've owned. The extra pockets are well-placed and easy to grab any knickknacks you might need. The ventilation keeps them comfortable even during long days of wear.
I took a chance and ordered two different pairs of trousers (having read reviews online about best hiking/walking pants). I'm one of those that needs to try something on before I decide if I like how it feels. Both pairs fit me perfectly and I fell in love with them immediately! My daughter bought me a pair for my 72nd birthday and after I put them on I sat right down and ordered two more pair before they might sold out. they slide right down into my Patagonia waders without slipping up my legs, are just right for early morning walks and hikes, shedding the Colorado misty dew and over night snow.
