Protect the ocean so it can protect us
Our future is tied to the ocean. Its shared seas connect us through food, culture and sport. The home of amazing, abundant life, it’s also a powerful climate solution. Yet the practice of bottom trawling threatens to destroy this precious resource—bulldozing our ocean floor, undermining small-scale fisheries and deepening the climate crisis. Let's end this destructive practice, starting with an immediate ban in marine protected areas and inshore zones.

As the weather has gotten colder, I have worn this jacket a few times; and have been impressed with how warm and comfortable it is. I love it; and am looking forward to wearing it on hikes all winter long.
The zipper head is too small, fragile, and it is difficult to use. The Patagonia down sweater that I purchased 6 or so years ago had a much stronger and better zipper for a winter/fall jacket that this one. This zipper head is too small and too fragile. I expect that it will be break and be unusable quickly.

Very nice Jacket
Bought this jacket for my husband, he looks totally hott wearing it. It's soft, very light weight, yet very warm. It can be squeezed way down to pack. I might go back and buy one for myself.

This is a great product. I had the same in granite color, which I prefer. I left it in the closet of a motel in Virginia, hence my repurchasing.

I wear this down jacket all winter long, sometimes sleeping in it after coming home from long Ski Patrol shifts, too tired to change. Exterior has survived many winter hikes through brush with no tears yet. Wrist elastic bands and waist pulls keep heat in very well. Another patroller has the exact jacket, we both notice a slight bulge in the upper belly from the zipper which gives a slightly less than flattering profile that I've never seen in any other Patagonia down, but thats my only minor gripe.

Finally a athletic cut jacket with long enough sleeves!
Love this jacket! Always had a problem with jackets running a little short in the arms but this fits perfect. More of an athletic cut which is nice and the length is great.
Posting a second review as I've worn the jacket quite a bit now. for my small build a medium is slightly, and I mean slightly large. That of course is nice when a thicker under layer is needed. This jacket is warm so you may not need your heavier down jacket. Comfy and high quality. Love it!

Hi Steve, thank you for taking the time to submit this review. Whether this jacket was authentic or not we're sorry to hear you're unhappy with it! It's difficult to know whether a product is truly ours unless it's purchased either through us or an authorized dealer. The current model of this jacket has 26% more down than last year's model, but is still very lightweight. I love everything about this jacket! My only negative thought was I ordered a dark green and got some mint green. I like all greens, but I probably would have not ordered it.

Idk why they call this a sweater. It’s a down jacket, you can wear it over a sweater. I was hoping for a smaller mid layer that could go under a jacket. Fits bigger than I’d like and I don’t really like how it looks but it’s a well made coat.
I was so excited to receive my down sweater but unfortunately had to return it. It was too tight through the waist and hips even though I ordered my usual size. I was able to try on the next size up at a store. The fit through the body was fine but the sleeves were about 5-6 inches too long. Nice construction but the fit was not for my body.

My husband loves everything about it. I bought this for hiking, but he has been wearing it daily.
This is a very nice jacket, warm and fits nicely. As with all Patagonia clothing, the quality is excellent. However, the color was a little disappointing. I was expecting more vibrant sky blue as shown on the product photo. Instead the blue was a duller, greenish blue.

5 stars across the board.
(NOTE: One minor quibble: I do wish that all Patagonia down and shell jackets had two-way zippers installed. Many Patagonia jackets used to have two-way zippers, and they really do add to the versatility and fit. I would not mind paying a little extra for two-way zippers on major jackets.)
I bought the original down sweater something like 15 years ago, and wore it all the time. The only damage in all that time was a tiny pinprick hole, but it was enough that I exchanged it this year; the new one is working out great.
I love the down sweater, this isnt my first Patagonia that Ive owned , but why the change of the cuffs? Theres a saying, if it isnt broken, dont fix it.

I have owned the sweater jacket for 6 years. It is being sent to Patagonia to replace a broken pocket. I really appreciate the light weight to warmth level.
I bought this coat to fill in the warmth gap between my nanopuff and my ski jacket. Sometimes you don't want to layer, you just want the coat that suits the temperature. I am very pleased with the result. I had to return my purchase to Patagonia because of a zipper problem and there were no others. I bought a replacement from another website a... The sweater is the perfect weight for warmth in the climate of the Pacific Northwest 35-50 degrees, with the annual rainfall averaging 100 inches it works great with the triolet shell jacket for my 2 hour walk in the morning. I walk 7-9 miles every day and use 2 of the down sweaters they breathe well and keep the chill out fit loose on the sleeves c... Great fit and well made. Multi uses . Like the inside zip pocket and high collar. Another Patagonia winner I will be using often. Also like the light weight and 800+ down.
Bought this jacket for my husband because I loved mine so much. He really likes it and wears it all the time both at home and at our mountain cabin. Good buy for the money.
I've owned many versions of this jacket over the years (hooded and not). I am a huge fan of it. However, this latest iteration was a letdown. The elastic cuffs have always been the weak spot for me being just a hair big, but still fairly functional. This time around, the cuffs were essentially nonexistent. Being nearly the same size as the sle... Read Moreeve circumference, the cuff overhangs the base of my hand which is really annoying and uncomfortable. I've had to return my jacket as I found it ultimately unwearable. I hope they update this aspect of the jacket in the near future.

Nice jacket
Looks good, warm, but it seems that the jackets I have had previous to this one were constructed of a heavier nylon. Well see how this one holds up,
Hey Tim, thanks for the review! We recently redesigned the Down Sweater. It used to be made of 1.4-oz 20x30-denier 100% recycled polyester ripstop with a DWR, and now it's a 1.2-oz 20-denier NetPlus 100% postconsumer recycled nylon ripstop made from recycled fishing nets with a PFC-free DWR finish. If you run into any warranty issues down the line, [reach out to us](https://help.patagonia.com/s/?_gl=1*ymujg9*_ga*MTE3MzgxOTU4OS4xNjQ3NTMxMTc0*_ga_1SYPSJZYJ5*MTY3NjA2MjI3Ni41MjIuMS4xNjc2MDY3MjQxLjAuMC4w) and we'd be happy to start a warranty evaluation for you.
Hi Lopsang, thank you for submitting this review. You may be able to reduce the feather loss by grasping the feather from the other side of the baffle and gently tugging it back inside, then rubbing the fabric firmly between your thumbs to help to close the hole. Please avoid pulling any feathers out, which will make the hole larger. If this doesn't help, you can absolutely [return](https://www.patagonia.com/returns.html) it at any time under our Ironclad Guarantee.
