Protect the ocean so it can protect us

Our future is tied to the ocean. Its shared seas connect us through food, culture and sport. The home of amazing, abundant life, it’s also a powerful climate solution. Yet the practice of bottom trawling threatens to destroy this precious resource—bulldozing our ocean floor, undermining small-scale fisheries and deepening the climate crisis.  /  June 7, 2007 2 Min Read  /  Community

The 47th annual Topanga Banjo and Fiddle Contest! This event has quite a history. You can wander throughout the ranch whereupon you’ll find multiple stages of performances, a stage for dancing (clog, contra, square and Scottish Country) as well as plenty of spontaneous jams. I spent a good portion of the day sitting in the shade, listenting to music and daydreaming about long rights at Surfrider where I’m the only guy in the lineup…

If you happen to find yourself in the area next year, definitely check out this event.
