"The reaction of people when they find out where I work is awesome."

Why do you work at Patagonia?
I want to do as much as I can to protect nature. I love working in an organization that I can feel proud of, and where I feel that I'm making a real difference in the world. This is something that many people never find in their lives, I was very lucky to find it!

What is the best thing working at Patagonia?
Working with colleagues that have the same values as me, meeting inspiring ambassadors and NGOs, feeling that I'm doing something good for the world through my work and being encouraged to explore my interests. Also, the reaction of people when they find out where I work is awesome.

What is your favourite Patagonia environmental initiative
1% for the Planet, because it encapsulates everything the brand stands for: using business as a force for good.

This initiative has made a huge difference for many environmental organizations, and at the same time it's been a great way to get other companies doing business ethically.

Are you part of the environmental grants council? What is your experience of this?
I have been part of the grant's council for a few months and it's really interesting to see different perspectives on the same issues. I've learnt a lot about the biggest environmental issues affecting different parts of Europe and the solutions that the NGOs are working on. It's also very rewarding to see how the NGO projects come to life and develop over time thanks to Patagonia's support.

What skills and traits do you need to work at Patagonia?
A desire to make the world a better place, a love for nature, an open and flexible mentality and a wish to be part of a community, not just to do a job.
