I'm not usually a flannel guy, but this fits well, keeps me warm, and looks great. I've gotten a few compliments on it in just a few days of wearing it. I like the insulation because I can throw it on over a t-shirt and be warm for the evening. Definitely recommend.
Another winner from Patagonia. I’ll wear this pretty much all the time as my daily second layer inside and out…Stylish too with neat ‘secret’ side pockets and when buttoned up very warming. Cut to fit and easy to move in too.

Looks really nice--you can use this around town, at work or when hiking or going for a walk. Great for the fall and very warm. My only complaint is that the side pockets are too far back to be useful. I feel like my hands are near my lower back when I use them to warm up my paws.

Large is too tight in shoulders/ XL is huge in torso
At 6ft 200lbs with Broad shoulders and chest no size fits me properly. The Large would be good if I didnt feel like the Shoulders were gonna rip upon moving my arms. This has to be one of Patagonia's classics. I had an older version and saw it had not been available for some time, and was really pleased to see it back. Warm, super comfortable, great fit and looks rad. Thank You
Got a small but exchanged for a medium. There was a little more room to allow for layering with the medium if you wanted to. The sleeve length is a little long with a medium but the small arm length was great. Good quality flannel shirt that you know will last a long time. Overall, happy with the purchase!
This is warm, comfortable, and breathable shirt/ jacket. It's not quite as heavy as a jacket but it's warmer than a shirt. It's very practical. The fit is long in the body and sleeves, so it's great for keeping the wind from going up your shirt. I would recommend it.

I've been using this shirt as a recreational shirt as well as a work jacket. I work in a cold warehouse and throw boxes all day. I like how this shirt doesn't hinder my shoulder movement and keeps me warm but not hot. I'm an XL and this shirt runs just a bit small. If you're an XL you might want to or up to a XXL.
Patagonia did a great job with this piece. It's comfortable, warm, and has a great soft feel. Keep in mind there are a few different things called "Fjord flannel," this is a midweight piece, kind of a shirt-jacket.

Cotton body breathes well, but is 0% waterproof. This makes a good outer layer on a crisp spring day, or midlayer in cooler or wetter temps. Love it!

While I do have a broad back from the gym, it seems as if no thought was had into making the shirt ergonomic. Sizing up to an XL seems ridiculous when all Patagonia had to add was an arm gusset to the pattern.

Miss the WOMENS version of this
Patagonia used to have a women's version of this jacket that I absolutely loved. I should've bought 10 of them when I had the chance. Well they got rid of that women's version and I thought this would be a good replacement, unfortunately its not. A great casual or Friday jacket
I had been eyeing this jacket for a while and glad that I finally purchased it. Its a true casual shacket - I receive compliments every time I wear it. It looks bulky when you wear it but i will usually throw a hoodie on with it and its just fine.
I bought this for my husband. He said that it was nice and warm and very comfortable. It washes really nicely. Just wash in the machine and dry for about 10 minutes and hang up. Perfect!
This thick flannel shirt/jacket hybrid is really warm with nice insulation. It works well with only a t-shirt underneath. I really only like the red color, all the other versions were really loud patterns but the red is pretty mellow. Overall I am stoked on this shacket and would recommend it.
I absolutely love this shirt. I live in the Deep South where a day can be 65 then 40 at night. This shirt is incredible and not to warm but keeps me warm when the temps drop. Great all around product. Can be used in warmer weather as a jacket with a t-shirt and in colder weather buttoned up with a base layer. Pocket entry is a little far back and cumbersome but overall a great product
Love this shacket!! I tried it on in Chicago while on business but didnt buy it. My wife surprised me with it for my birthday and I couldnt be any happier :) perfect for early morning lounging with a good cup of coffee in hand. Buy this, you wont be disappointed
This shirt/jacket is incredible. I get a ton of compliments when I wear this to work, so it looks great. It keeps me warm even on cold days without a coat. It has deep side pockets to hold whatever needs holding (including my cold hands!). It fits perfectly, like it was tailored just for me. 10/10 would shirt again.
Wore this casually here in San Diego and on a trip to Big Bear. Kept me comfortably warm and fits true to size. Im 5ft9in and 160lbs. Medium fits perfectly !
Great thick material I wore last time when I was a kid. Super comfortable and looks great. I was worried it might be too wide as I ma rather slim build, but fits perfect with my 197cm height (just like other clothes from Patagonia, L is always the right size). Thanks!

I bought this for both my son and my daughter's boyfriend. They wear it on almost a daily basis in lieu of a winter jacket. Both of them love the consistency as well as the fit of the jacket. I did send the link for this to my sister to buy for her son for Christmas.

I bought a size Medium and the length fits great, but I can barely button the shirt if I throw a hoodie on under it. The sleeve length is perfect but there is zero room to move. My one constant complaint with Patagonia is its sizing. Nothing is standard & it's absolutely frustrating given the superb quality they're known for. You'll love this shirt if it fits, but if it doesn't it'll just be a let down.

Brilliant - so well made and super soft
This is the second one I got for my husband - it’s incredibly practical , great cut and fit. The feel is super soft and has stayed soft even after being washed. Worth every penny!
probaly closer to the large on my torso specifically but need the XL for sleeve length and shoulder comfort. Cosy product and fits pretty well. would like if the lower body tapered a bit better but a small gripe.
Always warm and keeps water away for a long time. For the next revision: side pockets may be a little more to the front and maybe a pocket at the inside with Velcro or something to keep your phone safe.
Warm and lightweight. Perfect outer layer for casual wear and hiking. A little lacking in pocket space though as it's missing an inner pocket. But great side pockets for warming hands.
Bought this shirt/jacket and just trying it on made me want to buy a second one. Its warm, soft and durable all while being really stylish. I am 6 feet 205 lbs and the large fits perfectly. Love it.
This is an excellent lined flannel. It's very soft and the liner has much more loft than others I've had over the years. Extra bonus, it has side pockets (which I did not expect). It cuts right through the cold and warms me up quick, without the scratchiness of wool.
Fits great, sleeves can seem short when bent with longer arms, but perfect when arms are straight. Can't believe I am this disappointed in a piece of Patagonia gear, I own other Fjord Flannels that are staples and I straight up wear them until they are totally destroyed. I thought this would be great as a light fall/spring jacket and it really doesn't do the job. Sorry Patagonia, I love everything else I've ever bought form you guys over the years.

Perfect
I love these flannels. I have three and the only improvement they could make is an inside pocket. Otherwise, beautiful product!
This is the third insulated shirt that I have purchased and all three exceed expectations. Just the right weight for my geographical location. I particularly like the large side pockets to carry gloves and outdoor equipment.
A great work from home and out and about flannel. When your regular flannel isnt quite warm enough, there is this one with a little extra insulation. Love it!
Great piece. Typical Patagonia quality & much warmer than expected. Can dress up or down.
I have the plain blue already & luv it. The pattern of this one didn't suit me but when the plain gray comes back, or a smaller plaid pattern, Ill buy again. Classic piece.
I loved this flannel so much I got 2! Its true to its size, warm, great material, soft, and perfect to layer with a hoodie. I cant wait till more colors come in the future. Would definitely recommend and buy again!

The arms are way too tight and so is the torso. If this is to be worn as a mid-layer/outer-layer, wouldn't you build something that is less form-fitting or the same fit or, god forbid, even baggier than your lighter-weight shirts? I am a huge Patagonia fan - love the brand and the values you folks stand for, but some product decisions are genuinely questionable. Hope future iterations can be improved upon as this product definitely has the potential to be a bestseller if not for the strangely constricting fit.

Quality over shirt
Really liked this thick over shirt, very warm and really good quality - I’m normally an XL but went for XXL and the shirt fits like a jacket
First of all, the jacket looks great. It's very comfortable and warm, the outer layer's material is very soft. When it comes to sizing, I would rather go size up since I bought before Fjord Insulated shirt in size L and it fits me well and here I had to take XL to feel comfortable and be able to wear i.e. hoodie under the jacket.
