Protect the ocean so it can protect us
Our future is tied to the ocean. Its shared seas connect us through food, culture and sport. The home of amazing, abundant life, it’s also a powerful climate solution. Yet the practice of bottom trawling threatens to destroy this precious resource—bulldozing our ocean floor, undermining small-scale fisheries and deepening the climate crisis. Let's end this destructive practice, starting with an immediate ban in marine protected areas and inshore zones.

Excellent comfort, fit and sun/water protection
Longer legs, long arms and front zip make for the perfect bodyboarding and surfing wetsuit. Love the chest zip too. It's warm enough to protect from wind and chilly summer water (68 today).
I love that it doesn't ride up into private parts--which the shorter legged women's Patagonia did often.
This suit is soft and stretchy--no rash ... Read Morewhile paddling. It keeps the water out at the seams.
I have a small frame with a curvy figure. In women's clothing, I wear a 4 on top and a 4-6 on the bottom. I needed a 10 in this wetsuit to accommodate my curves (32D--36 around the bust, 26.5 waist, 39 hips and 129 lbs).
The size 8 fit my neck, arms and torso better. But it was too tight in the hips and legs and was compressing my spine. So I sized up to the 10. The neck and arms are a bit looser which allow some water to flush in from the neck and wrists, but I expected that. The trade off was worth it. This suit is so comfortable and useful. I'm glad I purchased the more comfortable size.
After 2.5 years of recovering from Covid and now long-covid, I became seriously out of shape. I knew I needed the right suit to get me back out in the water to rebuild my strength and health. And this suit came just in time. Thanks for listening to our requests for a suit that's 'athlete' friendly with the no hassle long arms and legs. Nice work Patagonia.
I'm so grateful to Patagonia for making a women's spring suit with long arms and a bit longer legs--love the coverage! No other company that I know of is making a 2/2 in this style. It's comfortable, easy to put on, and provides the warmth and protection I need from the wind and sun. The 8 actually fit better in the trunk and arms bu... Read Moret my curvy bottom caused the suit to feel that it was compressing my spine. I'm 5'5", 32D, 26 waist, 39 hips, 129 lbs. and small boned. The 10 is a little loose in the arms and neck but was the right choice for comfort (not pulling down on my spine). Some water does flush in through the neck and up the arms but I think that's because I had to size up to accommodate my curves.
I'd purchased previous models with the shorter legs and the suit legs bunched up and rolled up and gathered uncomfortably.
This suit is awesome. Please keep it in the line up--I'll be sure to wear it year after year. Nice job design team!!!
We really appreciate your detailed and thoughtful feedback on all aspects of the suit. This kind of information is so helpful to other customers and for our designers. Thanks for the review!

Great summer suit
I bought this suit for kiteboarding in Michigan. You can immediately tell the difference in quality from other wetsuits, even similarly priced wetsuits. It's perfectly stretchy with nice finishes so the water stays out of it as much as possible.
Judging by the size guidelines, I'm right in-between size 8 and 10. My chest fits a size 10, ... Read Morebut my waist measures in a size 8. For my first Patagonia wetsuit (R3) I bought the 10, but then returned it for an 8. 8 has been the magical size for me with my Patagonia wetsuits, including this one. I recommend sizing down if you are in-between sizes.
For this suit, the seams around the legs are tighter, but just to keep the water out (which is does, well). However, if you have large thighs, you might want to size up. I feel like I have pretty normal/average sized legs so it fits me well. Sometimes the legs roll up if I crash. The neck is tight, but that's the price you pay when you don't want water going down your neck (it also stretches out over time). I wanted the overhead zipper so my zipper wouldn't come in contact with the kiteboarding harness. The cut is flattering.
Temperature wise, I've been using it when it's above 75 with a water temp around 60 without much problem. Might be cold to some, but warm to us here in Michigan :) love having this as my summer suit.
