Super warm *
Living in long beach, Ca this jacket has been perfect. Its been cold in the morning and tolerable in the afternoon, so this jacket had been great. It is a tad big, Im 5 9 and 170lbs, I bought a large. I am fairly fit\muscular with long arms. I would not recommend a medium to someone with a similar build. Great product, would buy again.
The Best Jacket I own.
I live in Mammoth Lakes and for the past 2 years this is my daily for everything from hard work to summits and it's still perfect for when Im not pushing my luck in the mountains. If you want the best, most durable and best fitting down jacket look no further.
Jacket looks great but too
Jacket looks great but too big as normal large. Overall quality is excellent .

Light weight and warm
The number one reason I buy Patagonia jackets is FIT. I have long arms and I hate it when buying long sleeves and they feel short on my arms. Patagonia jackets allow me to buy a jacket that fits in the body and sleeve length, this jacket is also light weight, folds up very small in a day pack, and fits the warmth I need when its time to put it on.
Fills the need for a lighter weight jacket
I have several jackets for colder conditions but have been needing something lighter but still reasonably warm for cool but not cold days. Also need wind blocking and at least mild rain resistance here in dry, windy New Mexico. The slim fit makes this very nice for casual wear without having a bulky or 'puffy' profile. This jacket fills t... Read Morehe bill for all of these needs.
Too light weight for use in 50 degree weather
Wore it a little and decided to return it for the "sweater" version which is heavier and warmer-it was hard for me to tell on the website how warm the Nano would be, so that is the reason for three stars. Design and construction are good.
Too small around hips and waist
The construction quality is very good (hence a 2 star review and not 1), but the fit is very strange. The waist and hip areas are very tight. Shoulders and sleeve length are good. I tried a Large and Medium and on both sizes the fit around the waist is the same. What is the need for a drawstring on the bottom hem if the jacket is already almost s... Read Morekin tight to the body? Patagonia continues to go to more slim, form fitting designs. This is really a disappointment as the older fits from Patagonia were more relaxed, focusing more on range of motion - as one wants in outdoor clothing. 51 years later, 1st Patagonia Purchase
Absolutely Love it. Light, warm, windproof, I have no complaints. YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR. Perfect for this Mid-Westerner. It is the most comfortable coat I've ever had. Styling is spot on. No "Puffy" look. Just a contemporary coat. Sleeve length is perfect And the best part is, it's not BORING BLACK. Like every other idiot wea... Read Morers. It has character. I've enjoyed it in 25° weather to 45 degrees with a medium stride. Just barely got clammy at 45° while walking. 6'3 215 lbs. I would recommend zero changes. The interior chest pocket is very roomy. BINGO Patagonia !
Stitching coming out after only a month
When it came time to get a new jacket, I decided to take the plunge and purchase a Patagonia. Although their jackets cost three times what I normally spend, I wanted to jacket that would last and I liked the ethics of the company. Well, after wearing the jacket casually for just the past five weeks, the stitching is coming out all over. I have seve... Read Moreral loops of pulls in the stitching on the arms and two places where a loose thread an inch long has broken free. This is so disappointing as my main reason for purchasing Patagonia was durability. I was hoping this jacket would look good longer than one month. A quick search on the Internet shows this is not an isolated incident. I'll contact the outdoors store from which is was purchased and hopefully Patagonia will make good on a replacement or a refund. My first Patagonia purchase may well be my last.

Seam Ripped after two wears
Ive worn this jacket only twice before I noticed a seam on the front of the jacket started coming apart. I don't wear this Jacket doing any strenuous activity so I am very upset about it already falling apart based on the price.

Hey Tegan, thanks for the review. We're sorry to hear about the issues you've run into with your Nano Puff jacket. If you mean that some of the baffle threads are coming loose, this is a known issue with our Nano Puffs. It should not affect the performance of the jacket, and you can find a tutorial on how to fix the issue [here](https://www.ifixit.com/Guide/Repairing+a+Loop+of+Loose+Stitching+in+a+Patagonia+Nano+Puff+%C2%AE+Jacket/19434). If the issue is more widespread than a couple loose threads, feel free to reach out to customer service and we'd be happy to set you up with a warranty evaluation.
Not for me
I used the Fit Calculator to find an appropriate size. I was guided into a 3XL. This size was appropriate through the shoulders yet voluminous through the midsection. So I downsized to the 2XL. This size was a better fit through the midsection yet very tight through the armpit. While the product looks fantastic, there doesn't seem to be a happ... Great for the warmer days
I got this for an additional layer for when I ski. When I take the kids to the mountain, I don't move as much and I get colder. This jacket solved that problem. I also love it for around town when it isn't too cold. I can also see tossing this in a pack when heading out on a hike or longer excursion.
Very lightweight and warm
I was very surprised how lightweight this jacket was and very impressed with its warmth to weight ratio. I can't really speak to its durability yet but I do like that it's something that you can have repaired vs thrown out. It's also nice to see a company that puts our environment first. Very happy with my purchase
The Whole Family Has One Now
This last purchase was to get the rest of my family their own. I have had mine for 5 years or so and it is still getting daily use and lives in my day pack. I am notoriously hard on gear so the jacket wears well if it has lasted this long. It's the perfect layer to start my predawn days worn under my Iron Forge Chore Jacket or Torentshell. And... Beautiful Jacket But Not Durable in the Field.
I love this jacket and have worn it for years. My only critique is that the shell fabric is so thin that it punctures easily. I hike through the woods quite a bit and unfortunately the understory has perforated my jacket in several places. I have sewn it many times, but now I have so many tears it is beyond repair. Any advice?

Love that it's so lightweight
Love that it's so lightweight yet warm. Perfect with layers for winter photography which involves a lot of standing in cold weather. An inside pocket would have been nice.

Thank you for submitting this review, Sandy. Just to clarify, the jacket does have an inner breast pocket that can be used to stash keys, ID, cash or cards, or to self-stash the jacket. It sounds like you would also like to see inner pockets at the hand level. We will share this feedback with our design team. Cheers!
Excellent comfort and warmth for weight
I was surprised at how warm this jacket kept me, given how lightweight it is. I'll wear it over just a t-shirt, or over a fleece or hoody. Lightweight, Packable Warmth
I purchased the Men's Nano Puff jacket for my husband. I used the sizing guide and ordered a medium. The jacket was too snug for his frame, especially around the stomach. Patagonia is awesome! They are one of the very companies that produce great products, stand by their work, and have excellent customer service to boot. Tight in the Arms at Shoulders
The XXL was cut too close at the shoulder area/ shoulder pits. I wear a 17x35 shirt. The arm length was good, girth good, and length okay. My son and wife love their Nanos. My wife really likes hers, and I was going to be part of the Nano wave in the family.
The red color is a lot more brown than it is shown as on the website. I definitely would have ordered another color had I known the sequoia red was so drab.

Light and warm.
Down here on the Gulfcoast we seldom need outerwear that is real heavy. So, the Nano Puff Jacket is perfect for almost all of our cold weather. Good jacket, but not great.
Got it because I needed to add another warm jacket to the rotation. I live in the PNW and threw it on with a normal long sleeve when it was about 40 degrees outside. It did a great job of stopping the wind but I definitely got cold. It does fit slight larger so I could have easily wore a sweatshirt under and been perfect. Long story short, cool... I love Patagonia principles. I ordered this jacket around the holidays and had to wait for delivery. I was good with that. Treat employees with respect!! I find this jacket too
I find this jacket too thin and not very warm and way way overpriced. I thought it would have some type of space age fill but it just basically sucks. I feel ripped off.

Essential All-Season Layering Staple
I simply love the look and year-round versatility of this jacket! Perfect Everyday Jacket
After wearing this for the past couple of weeks, it has been a game-changer! I typically walk 4 miles every morning and have been wearing this jacket during my walks. Nice jacket for warmer winter lament
I love winters. Cold, brisk mornings, white stuff on the ground, weekend trips to the slopes. Sadly, climate change has left us with far less of that in New England. This jacket has been my go to outerwear this season. Light but right amount of warmth and wind protection even for road cycling.
light weight and very warm
I use this coat for everything. It is light weight and very warm. Easy to move in and very comfortable and soft on the inside. Plus it's machine washable. I hang it dry. It's kept its shape and size. I only wish that Patagonia carried more items in 3X. oh well, their loss.

Thin, wind resistant and very warm
Great jacket. I'm 5'9, not a thin frame. I went with the large and its perfect with or without an old school synchilla baselayer. Sheds light water and protects from the wind. Incredibly warm. I also like the width of the stretchy arm cuffs compared to previous years. The little extra room makes a big difference.
This is a super nice
This is a super nice jacket and is very lightweight. The Primaloft fill is really nice.
