I've been loving these bibs. I wore them skiing in Tahoe on a day it was dumping rain and my legs stayed dry all day. I have long legs and would appreciate 2-3 more inches in the inseam but they're probably fine for normal length legs

Runs very small
I was so excited to find a sleek snow bib made within the positive ethos of Patagonia. I ordered the blue in an XXL. For reference I am a plus sized, 5 foot 7 inches and hourglass shaped with thicker thighs and thinner waist. I wear a 16W jeans and in a Patagonia brand, a XXL fits me spot-on perfect EXCEPT in this snow bib. The thighs are so small,... Read More I was a good four inches away from even being able to zip them! I had to check the tag that they sent the right size. I was going to return them but they actually fit my teenager daughter and she fell in love with them. She wears a size large in pants and is 5 foot 9 inches. That is how off-sized these are. Im glad they fit her. They are gorgeous and well-made of course! We love Patagonia. But I was really hoping yall had made a snow bib for thick girls, but sadly that is not the case. Please consider fixing your sizing and extending your size range.
I really wanted a bib with minimal insulation for versatility so I could choose how I wanted to layer. The sizing is so off on these. Im usually a medium but I sized up to a large to allow my legs and hips to fit. But the waist is huge!!! There is a massive gap in the mid to lower back where the flap is. Almost perfect, with a fatal flaw
Overall excellent quality and decent fit. I was very excited about these bibs. Unfortunately, the buckles are almost impossible to use. Sleek looking design, virtually unusable. I am surprised not to see mention of this in other reviews.

Excellent Alpine Touring Bib
Excellent. When you are climbing up a hill with your pack these bibs, breath and flex. This simple design has made other bibs seem meh. I wanted to love these. My first pair of bibs! I wore them for two months and things just got worse.
Pros:
-Awesome blue color that isnt too girly and goes with almost everything
-Lots of pockets, including a big one on the chest
-Long side zippers that can zip from bottom up or top down
-Not too long, and the cuffs fit over my ski boots nicely

Cons
-The fit is weird I have a curvy athletic build and theyre a bit tight on my hips and thighs but too big in the waist.
-They wet out with even a little bit of moisture. I live in the PNW and the snowpack is pretty wet, so I have high expectations. However, I do have a few pairs of snow pants that are remarkably waterproof. These bibs are not they wet out after five minutes on the chairlift. (Side note: the Triolet jacket is amazing and I dont have any issues with water soaking through it)
-The cuffs are getting torn up from regular use. I wear these inbounds and Im not a crusher. They shouldnt tear so easily.
-The chest straps are really hard to undo since youre clipping through an elastic band, and so I don't use them.
-The zippers are so hard to move. So hard! This sounds silly but is terrible because you have to unzip those zippers every time nature calls.
I cant recommend these at all. The lack of durability and fact that they wet out almost immediately is unacceptable. Id return them if I could.

Great Bibs.
I tried the pants and the waist was tight which then caused the crotch of the pants to ride up. Going to the bibs didn't pull the crotch up and allowed a more comfortable fit. I never wore bibs before--the design allowed for easy drop when going to the toilet. The side zippers are very stiff.
The large bibs were too big and the medium bibs did not allow for any layering for muscular glutes & quads. The size medium bibs fit great in length, the midsection, and below the knee. At the same time, the quad/hips were a bit too snug. With such a high price point I would hope that the sizing was much more forgiving.
Thank you for sharing this feedback, Lisa. This is helpful to both our customers and our product team. We're do sorry neither of those pairs fit! Please let us know if you need any help with your return, or if we can help you find something that will better meet your needs.

Bought multiple sizes and no luck
I bought these trying to find a ski bib for our trip but after trying multiple sizes I was unable to find a size that worked. It seems that the hips and legs all fit the same no matter what size I tried. I ended up having to go with another option from another company.

Love these bibs!
Usually anything bib-esque is the death of me with my height and torso, but these fit great, have enough length, and are super comfy! Theyre a thinner material, but with a good base layer underneath work out great, plus they have little side zippers for helping with ventilation. Big fan!
I let these sit in the package for a week before trying them on because I'm pretty defeated on trying to find snow pants that fit my waist and hips. I wear size 14 / 16 jeans and XL in yoga pants. Awesome bibs!
Ive been wanting to switch from snow pants to bibs for quite some time, and Im glad I did. These are super comfortable, moveable, easy on and off, and good looking.
By the size chart I should fit squarely in the large, so I ordered the L and XL just to be sure. The large was far too snug and could barely zip up over my hips and butt. The XL fit the legs, but left a nearly six inch gap all the way around my torso and would have rubbed in all sorts of weird ways while on the mountain. So frustrating to have such... I typically wear medium in tops and bottoms but went size large in these bibs because of the longer torso. I have taken these ski touring in a wide variety of conditions, and they handle it all! My FAVORITE thing about these is how much coverage they provide when nature calls and there's nowhere to hide. Peeing with skis on has never been easier.

These are not "warm", it's true. These are for folks who work really hard during their ski days and love to climb for their turns. I have searched high and low for ski pants/bibs that fit me well......these are the best! Super flattering fit for an athletic body type and awesome features.... very easy relief system, great pockets, and the stretchy fabric makes them 10/10.
I have been looking for a pair of bibs that are not outrageously priced and would fit me alright. For context I have muscular tights / glutes and most ski pants are really tight if they fit correctly in the above area. Also appreciate the material which is going to be great skitouring.

I'm really happy with my purchase. They are the perfect length for me! I usually wear a size 4, and the small fits perfectly. I love all the pockets for staying organized.
Oh, the odyssey I had to undertake to find bibs that fit well for a tall lady with hips - I have tried on so many from different brands that I lost count with the issue that they fit awkwardly, had too much material in the front, or would just be too short and hit my crotch. I love the pockets - handy big chest pocket in front for snacks/your beacon/phone, two side pockets on the thighs - with a smaller pocket inside. The cherry on top is the sweet color - Smokey Violet is a perfect description of it - not dull but a nice subtle lavender. Beautiful bibs! A shining example of why I love Patagonia!
The Bibs are comfortable although the snap closure on the top is a bit difficult to close at that angle. As well it would be nice if they came in different lengths as since I am 5'2" they are pretty baggy in the knees but do not drag.
Very unhappy with the rear flap system. It is difficult to reach the backside snaps on the rear flap and with waterproof zipper material, zipping and unzipping is also difficult. To make matters worse, the zipper pulls on the flap are too small- hard to grasp, and not very robust-making it even more difficult to zip or unzip. Also, the little elast... I did not see an option for choosing a different inseam size, which would have been nice.

Ski clothing
I would happily purchase these ski pants if they came in a true petite. After reading the reviews how the pant was too long for 5 ft plus women, they would be “miles” too long for me. I am pretty short at 5 ft. It’s really difficult to purchase ski clothing for petite women. Manufacturers, please consider us.

Not quite right
These were a bit short in the torso and the hooks to take down the bibb was hard to remove. I had to return.
I really like the material and color of these, but they’re WAY too long. I’m 5’5”, and these are a good 4 inches too long. I called Patagonia to see about alterations, but it isn’t offered on these particular pants. Unfortunately I had to return them.
