Polyester is naturally water repellent and performs well in the outdoors.

We use polyester in most of our products, which mix both virgin and recycled materials. Polyester is a synthetic fiber derived from petroleum. In 2015, the global production of polyester reached 52.8 million metric tons for the clothing industry alone.

Where We Are

In our efforts to use non-petroleum based fabrics, we have dramatically increased our recycled polyester usage. This season, recycled polyester made from postconsumer plastic is the most used fiber type in our products.

What's Next

Our goal is to completely move away from using virgin polyester by 2025.
