Proteggiamo l'oceano perché possa proteggere noi

Great jacket and does everything I need it to. Has an interior liner, so it's pretty warm for a "shell" with lots of pockets to carry everything I need. Haven't gotten to use it in a heavy rain yet, but it's been waterproof in mild rains so far. Would definitely buy again.
This is the best ski jackat I have owned, by far. Build quality, as usual with patagonia kit is first class, as is functionallity. Great fit for me, and cut, and the thin fleec lining gives just enough insulation without the risk of overheating. The PFC free construction is also a real bonus for me, and hopefully this will set the standard for other manufacuteres to follow.
This is a great mountain jacket for harsher snow and rain conditions. The fit is good for layering and packing snacks, etc gear in pockets. The material so far has stood up to cold, wet, insanely steep rope tows, poma lifts, all lifts, grease, kids yogurt hands and bush whacking. I like this jacket it rules and it keeps the wind away. good product ... Read More***** 5 stars so far
I wanted to love this jacket, it seems super warm and waterproof, and I loved the color, but for some reason it's really tight in the hip area. I sometimes order men's xs bc I never like the women's colors. I'm not sure why anyone would want a jacket that's tight in the hips, I don't have large hips for a woman either.... Hey Erin, thanks for the review. While we also sometimes will select items from the opposite gendered line, it can sometimes pose some issues. Typically, the cut on the hips will be more narrow for our men's items; so that is something to keep in mind. If you need garment measurements in the future, please reach out to [customer service](https://help.patagonia.com/s/?_gl=1*1gmnnga*_ga*MTE3MzgxOTU4OS4xNjQ3NTMxMTc0*_ga_1SYPSJZYJ5*MTY4MDcwODg2MS43MTEuMS4xNjgwNzEwMTU1LjU3LjAuMA..) and we'd be happy to send those your way. This will be extra helpful, especially when purchasing a men's product. We welcome you to send this jacket back for a refund or merchandise credit.

Great Features and fit well
I am 5.9 and 225. Normally wear a 46 jacket. The xl was too big so I exchanged for a large the size is perfect. Love the hood and powder skirt. Lots of convenient pockets
This jacket is comfy, very warm, lightweight, and stylish. Unfortunately the external zipper pockets can get extremely stuck on regular basis (perhaps an excess of material inside the pocket) and you have no chance at getting them open until your hands are warm. This jacket also is not as water proof as other Gore-Tex (but I love that its eco frien... Read Moredly) and will get a bit wet on a rainy day.
Love this jacket. It fits large but perfect as a shell. I normally buy a size larger for my shell but luckily I went to try this on. It has all the pockets and feature you want and looks great. My one complaint is that the pocket zipper snags from time to time.
Bought to replace an aging, heavier 2-layer Gore-Tex shell for skiing in the Sierra Nevadas. The lighter-weight fabric and large pit zips are great for the warmer spring-like days and even touring but I do find that I have to layer a bit heavier on the colder/stormier days.
Has all the pockets you would expect from a ski jacket, but the outer ches... Read Moret pocket is too small for a modern phone like a Pixel 6a, and there's no headphone cable routing hole! The welting makes it hard to unzip and makes access cumbersome.
The sleeve cuffs slip off when strapping them down over gloves, forcing me to find a pair of gauntlet gloves to tuck them under instead. Might be remedied if the sleeves were a bit longer or had some sort of higher-friction material on the inner cuffs to prevent slipping.
Lastly, the rubbery anti-slip layer on the powder skirt works well but has started delaminating from the fabric after only a few ski days... It's disappointing to me that a Patagonia jacket would have all these issues on a newer design.
Thank you for this review, Lorenzo; we appreciate this detailed feedback! We're sorry this jacket isn't working better for you, and the delamination you're seeing is a warranty issue. Please feel free to reach out to our Customer Service Team about returning it, or you can [return](https://www.patagonia.com/returns.html) it through our website if you wish.

Dry and comfy
Love it. Super dry and has some warmth on its own but I layer it with nano air for a perfect midlayer.
This is my primary alpine ski jacket. Great protection from wind. Hood is perfect over a ski helmet and maintains solid peripheral vision while skiing on those windy days. Do need to accommodate for the additional liner and soft insulation in chest. It is warmer than a pure shell. Not a negative, just something to take into account. Soft liner in p... This is a new jacket, so I have yet to really test it in the field. I did wear it on a short hike on a nasty northeast day with high winds and spitting rain, temp 40 degrees. Bulletproof! Completely cut off the wind. Very comfortable. Looking forward to an extended test.
Home Run Patagonia.
The Storm Shift is amazing. Goretex but soft, stretchy, comfortable. Bomb proof weather protection. Nailed all the important features you would want to have on the ideal ski shell. Nice bonus is it's warmer than expected with the little bit of lining inside. And I love the extra touch of the black with the gray/ smolder blu... Read Moree. I just used the jacket for the first time in Yosemite treking around during a rain/sleet storm. Kept me ultra dry and warming that it would appear - seems like more of a shell with little insulation. The only drawback, the hood is built for pulling over a helmet, so had to wear a hat to keep it from slipping too far over my head. Maybe a tightener ... I'm loving this jacket so far. Haven't had a chance to test new goretex but warmth and comfort are top knotch. It feels much more like a polyester jacket than a hard shell and it is pleasantly quiet and soft. Only complaint is that it stains easy.
It seems like a fantastic jacket. I haven't had any days on the hill yet but the jacket fits well, and as always is well made. It's Gore-Tex so I'm not worried about its performance.
