Protect the ocean so it can protect us
Our future is tied to the ocean. Its shared seas connect us through food, culture and sport. The home of amazing, abundant life, it’s also a powerful climate solution. Yet the practice of bottom trawling threatens to destroy this precious resource—bulldozing our ocean floor, undermining small-scale fisheries and deepening the climate crisis. Let's end this destructive practice, starting with an immediate ban in marine protected areas and inshore zones.

This jacket is super warm and super water repellant.
I like the roomy fit, but probably should have ordered a medium. Living in Idaho, the weather can change by the minute, this jacket allows for just about anything. Zippers are nice and smooth. The tie strings that allow for the hood to be tightened are a bit retro, but will be functional till the jacket wears out. Lastly, it would have been nice to... Good is the enemy of great
I would give this 4.5 stars if I could, but its not an option. Fits like the great majority of Patagonia tops, which I love because their XL runs perfect for me. The two separate jackets are great together and apart. However, the collar on the down jacket gets a little catty wompass both attached to and in unattached from the set. I finally figured... Read More out it works best if you have it popped up while attached to the jacket. Other than that, I wish a little more time was spent making the hood more useful/comfortable. The hood almost seems like an afterthought, which is surprising for a Patagonia product. It works better if you are wearing a baseball cap under it, which is normal for me anyway. It is super warm together and apart for all the things you would want it for together and separate. The down jacket is especially stylish by itself. The buttons are a great touch.
Two great jackets that could be one really warm jacket
The down jacket is so unique with the buttons and supper comfy all year round The shell is very stylish and can be dressed up I also like the pockets - size and placement But both jackets are boxy, so if you're between sizes go with the smaller size.
Great for all kinds of conditions
This is a great combination jacket. I used it on a recent trip that had lots of different weather conditions including wind, rain, and snow. The puffer jacket is super warm and I really like the collared design (although the collar sometimes sit a little weird when worn with the shell. The water repellent layer is perfect in the rain and snow. I ... Read Morehighly recommend this jacket.
Shell stains easily
This was an extravagant Xmas present from my spouse. The down coat is stylish, light, and warm, but I had some bad luck with a takeout container causing the outer shell to stain visibly. It was a relatively small spill, and I was surprised by the darkness and persistence of the stain, especially because I got the coat into an OxiClean soak within m... Read Moreinutes. I was hoping for an harder wearing item given the premium price paid. Bummer.

Inner jacket is not great on it's own
Bought this hoping to use the inner jacket to replace my worn out soft shell jacket. However, while the combined jacket has a nice and relaxed fit, the inner jacket by itself is kind of snug. It also is a bit long for my torso so the jacket bunches up when I sit down (I'm 5'6"). The inner jacket doesn't have a zipper, it just ha... its not warm enough
I was incredibly happy with the service and warranty at Patagonia. I had a jacket for about 8 years and it ripped. I went to have it repaired and they suggested that it might be better to get a new jacket that was similar. Because Patagonia didn't have the same jacket we agreed that this jacket was the most similar to my prior jacket. i reali... Read Moreze now, there is no insulation in the hood, and the jacket itself isn't as warm as my original. Otherwise the jacket is very nice. I just have to wear an extra layer underneath
