Protect the ocean so it can protect us
Our future is tied to the ocean. Its shared seas connect us through food, culture and sport. The home of amazing, abundant life, it’s also a powerful climate solution. Yet the practice of bottom trawling threatens to destroy this precious resource—bulldozing our ocean floor, undermining small-scale fisheries and deepening the climate crisis. Let's end this destructive practice, starting with an immediate ban in marine protected areas and inshore zones.

Go to for the rainy weather
Love this jacket and perfect for rainy weather. Hike a lot with my dog, no matter the weather, and this jacket has been perfect for keeping me dry. Only wish it had a chest pocket but that’s a personal preference. Runs a little large, but I think that’s perfect for layering.
Sturdy jacket, runs small
I love how sturdy this jacket is. The zippers work well, the billed hood keeps my glasses dry. I can wear this in hot or cold weather, depending on what I layer underneath. The cut is very straight, so I ordered a large and I'm glad I did or it wouldn't have laid smoothly over my hips. That makes the arms long, but I can roll them up, no ... Read Morebiggie. I love the fit and color of this jacket. But the fabric is stiff and noisy (sounds like plastic when I move it.) For this reason I only gave two stars. I washed it to see if it would soften up but it did not. So Im stuck with it I guess.
Hi Michele, thank you for your honest feedback! We apologize for any inconvenience caused by the stiff fabric of the jacket. We understand how important comfort is. Nice but cut slim
Great product, well made, GREAT color, but wish manufacturers would make products for women that are shaped like women, and not 14 year old boys. We are sharing your thoughts with our design team.
I was looking for a jacket that would keep me dry without costing the earth for travelling to work and to also use for hikes. So far so good working really well. Also as I am fairly short, finding loose fitting jackets that don't swamp me are difficult to find. Jacket looks great on me, very happy.
Very thin shell
I bought this raincoat thinking I could wear it over a vest to go for extended walks on drizzly, cold Michigan Michigan days in late fall/early spring. Hi Kim, thank you for your review of the Women's Torrentshell 3L Rain Jacket. We're sorry to hear that the fit and thickness weren't what you were expecting. Nicely made but sleeves too short
Loved the jacket but sleeves are too short. Always a challenge to find a feminine cut with long enough sleeves for my 5'11" frame. The return policy was convenient.
Thanks for this feedback, Aimee! We understand that frustration. If it might help, our Customer Service Team will be happy to provide specific measurements like sleeve length so you can be more confident of getting the right fit.
I like the look of this jacket. Got the blue/green color. It runs small especially in the hips as others had said. Too big. The large was just a wee snug around the waist fir layering but the XL was way too big- everywhere..So sorry as I LOVE the style, colors, and especially that Patagonia is a Fair Trade company.

Does what it says
The jacket does what it says, keeps you dry with no added frills. No inner pockets; no pocket to put the hood away (this would have been nice). I am loving this product (especially the Balay Blue color). So far it has kept me dry when walking in the rain. The fit works well for my body (5'6 & 120 lbs). Love this rain jacket
I love this rain jacket. It is beautifully designed and well made. It fits perfectly (an often challenging task for my long, slender body). And even though the material is a bit crunchy (don't try to sneak up on anyone while wearing it!), I plan to use it as part of my wet weather arsenal forever!
Love my Torrentshell!
I bought this jacket to use on an Iceland hiking trip, however I am using it a lot running errands and hiking close to home as well. Its lightweight and waterproof; you can also easily layer it in colder weather. I highly recommend this jacket for all kinds of foul weather!

I have many rain jackets but we were attending an outdoor concert in the rain, and needed to insure that we would stay dry! And this jacket fit the bill! Not packable as advertised
I bought this to be able to take for travel. Said it packs into its pocket. Neither I nor my husband can get this to work!!!! Very disappointing!!! I have other packable Patagonia items.

I will wear this just casually as a normal rain coat, maybe also when hiking when necessary. Just a nice, sustainable, every day raincoat that ticks all my boxes.
Omg im legit sitting here in 90 degree NYC weather hoping it rains just so i can rock my new raincoat! I love it. The style is cute, the fit is perfect and the color is this deep blue which is almost purplish a bit and goes w my rain proof purple uggs. So happy customer here for sure!!
fantastic, packable rain jacket
This jacket is lightweight, breathable and easily packable, yet totally waterproof. I love that it doesn't have velcro down the front zipper so it doesn't snag my shirt or a scarf. The hood is great and stays up. I wish I had found this jacket earlier! It's easily the best rain jacket I've ever tried.
Lightweight Rain Defense
I purchased the Torrentshell 3L Rain jacket based on one that I borrowed from a friend. I chose the navy blue and am pleased with the color. Looking forward to wearing it during an upcoming camping/hiking trip to northern Michigan.
