Protect the ocean so it can protect us
Our future is tied to the ocean. Its shared seas connect us through food, culture and sport. The home of amazing, abundant life, it’s also a powerful climate solution. Yet the practice of bottom trawling threatens to destroy this precious resource—bulldozing our ocean floor, undermining small-scale fisheries and deepening the climate crisis. Let's end this destructive practice, starting with an immediate ban in marine protected areas and inshore zones.

Extremely pleased with performance of these pants. As a slightly larger individual these pants fit well, are extremely comfortable & breathable and are proven great for long hikes. bouldering, and even trail runs... good water resistance in light rain and muddy trails. designed perfectly for active outdoors. They deliver excellent value.
I've worn these pants a few times and absolutely love them. They are lightweight, flexible and comfortable. On par with my all-time favorite hiking pants.
But really, Patagonia customer support makes 5 stars
The pants are great but on the first order I had issues with tracking and FedEx and ultimately they said they were delivered but the package never came. Very frustrating. Read Morerrived in 2 days with the faster shipping option she added complimentary. The pants fit great, Im 5 10 and 165 lbs and the 32 waist is great while the inseam is a little long Im sure they will work fine when I finally take them out in the woods. The built in belt is a little difficult to pull and release but I imagine itll loosen up over time.
Love these pants. They fit great, true to size. I’m slim built so they fit me well. Don’t like the belt. It’s difficult to adjust. Webbing doesn’t slide well through the buckle clip. Love the material of the pants. Light weight yet durable.
Really like wearing them. Use them at the golf course as well :-)
The system with small strings for the zippers are not working - within 3 weeks 3 of them has fallen off 👎
These are one of the most durable and light outdoor pants I've seen. Reinforced knees and a slim fit cut with stretchy material allow you to look clean while being ready for outdoor use. Material is more dense than other styles and stands up to punishment while staying breathable and cool.
I like this pants very much so light weight. I use them to go the park, museums and the gym. I can actually go anywhere with them since they have a nice fit. Easy to wash and dry so quick. The only thing I don't like is the brand name on the side. I wish they place it by the waist.
I don't usually write reviews, but I feel compelled to for these pants. They are perfect! I had lots of different pairs of pants - jeans, zip-off, utility, etc. I wasn't really happy with any of them, and set out to find a pair of pants I could use for nearly everything. I wanted a pair I could use casually/comfortably inside. I wanted to... Read More be able to use them for walks/hikes, so I wanted them to repel rain and block wind. I wanted to use them when I work in the garden and around my property, so I wanted them to have stretch and be a strong fabric that wouldn't tear. I'm tall/lean, and wanted them to have a nice tight fit, not be baggy. I wanted them to have elastic drawstrings for adjusting the cuffs. I wanted them to have a few zippered pockets. They had to be sustainably made by an ethical company. I had the luxury to not have to worry about cost. I searched lots, and it finally occurred to me that climbing pants would likely meet all my requirements. I'm partial to Patagonia for quality and sustainability, and I found these pants. They are perfect. In fact, I feel like I got even more than I bargained for, because these pants fit so well and look so good that I think I could get away with using them for work, perhaps even formally with a jacket. These have become my "everything" pants, and that's what I wanted. I promptly bought an identical second pair.
The first thing I noticed about these pants is their warmth relative to their light weight. They keep one warmer than what their light weight would suggest. The second thing I noticed was their excellent windbreaking capability. I will use these for hiking and fishing, but can see where they would be good for many other outdoor activities. The only... Read More drawbacks I have noticed is that the belt buckle can be difficult to fasten, and I wish a 30" inseam was available in a size 38" waist. This option was not available when I ordered them online.
These pants aren't black in color. Perhaps a dark grey. Not a deal breaker, but rather a heads up.
The snap closure is also rather shallow and not particularly robust. There's no feeling of closure. I'll be surprised if its integrity holds up to repeated us.
I've worn Patagonia clothes for over 20 years for casual, technical, and work wear. I have many of my original purchases, still going strong. Sadly, many newer Patagonia items have quality issues, these included -- the stitching started failing almost immediately.

Amazingly, the integrated belt is a huge hassle, I can't understand how it was included. Almost every time I pull these on, the integrated belt, which is thin, twists inside the fabric. I must spend a few minutes manually untwisting it.

Overall 36 is a great
Overall 36 is a great fit in waist, thighs, but pants are about 2 inches too long. If you hem you destroy cinch feature. I took them to Patagonia store in Pittsburgh and EE told me the short style would not fit.

The pants are light weight and offer super flexibility. I wear them for hiking and mountain biking. They provide pretty good protection from wind and light rain.
Bought one of these for climbing because my legs were getting small cuts from the rock while wearing shorts. I originally purchased these pants for a fall attempt of Mt. Whitney. In the weeks leading up to and the day of they proved to be comfortable, wind resistant and reasonably stretchy. The test will be whether or not they are as comfortable as the Altvia Light version which might be hard to beat but did I mentioned the pockets? The stretch and fit are excellent.
Purchased these pants with some skepticism because of how light the fabric feels. The pants are everything I could ever want. Material is amazing. The tie downs on the ankle are genius and work well. The built in belt is a must have. They're my new favorite pants. I had to get them altered because of my height and they were sold out of the short cut but thats my own problem. Pants are fantastic.
Ive been waiting for this pant for years. Its a great blend of light weight but durable. Built in belt, articulated, etc HOWEVER, Patagonia doesnt seem to believe in the existence of slender people with moderately long legs. Hey Galen, thank you for the feedback. Unfortunately, we've had to cut down on how many pants we offer in long lengths. Right now it will primarily be our Workwear line and the [Men's Swiftcurrent Wet Wade Wading Pants](https://www.patagonia.com/product/mens-swiftcurrent-wet-wade-wading-pants-long/82106.html?dwvar_82106_color=FGE&cgid=mens-pants-jeans) that are offered in a longer inseam. The Altvia inseam does increase an inch if you go up in size, the crossover is from a size 33 to 34, which goes from a 32" inseam to a 33" inseam. We'll be sure to share your thoughts with the team.

The unfeeling pants!!!
They are super comfy and stretchys....free moves!!!I love them!
The material is incredibly stretchy without being annoyingly stretchy. I cannot speak to how they hold up on rock yet. The pants are incredibly long. I wish they came in a shorter inseam. I am going to hem them but I will be losing the drawstrings around the ankles in the process. A little disappointing.
Ive been hiking, backpacking, snowshoeing, and mountain biking for over 30 years and am wondering how I ever did it with out these pants. Comfy, lightweight and stretchy. I am 180 and I usually wear a 30 in pants, both climbing and jeans. I got a 30 in these and they were about an inch smaller than every other pair of 30s I have. I got a 32, much better, and the belt makes them fit way better.

Nice material.
I bought these pants primarily for cross country skiing and winter canyon hiking. Pleased with the performance. Warm and protective over long underwear. Can't say how well they'd do in a rain burst or a wet snowstorm. Good fabric, that's for sure.
I am writing this for my grandson who lives in the mountains. The pants are pefect to wear on cloudy days when it could rain or snow. They keep you dry and dont constrict movement.
I wear these on my daily walks. Throw a base layer underneath when its cold, they are very comfortable and breath nicely while exercising. I love these!

Just got them out xc skiing. Then threw a shell pant over for a few down hill laps. Very comfortable. Overall good design and pocket placement. Weather was mid 30s sun and wind and the pants performed great

I'm hard on gear and I dislike gushing over it. That being said these pants are outstanding. Great fit, nice stretch, and the pockets are just right. Material seems a little thin for the abrasion any climbing pant can expect to endure, but we'll see upon extended use.
Love these. Comfi, versatile, light weight. Just a note on fit- they do run long (lots of reviews say so) and not sure why the belt is necessary- but seems most brands have it. Find it superfluous and a bit annoying.
Great mobility for climbing. Plenty warm for cool weather but didnt overheat while hiking fast. Will pair with a base layer when temps drop to low 40s. They are a very comfortable material that is thin and comes with a nice stretch. I bought them with the intention of wearing them alone (in summer) or with a pair of thermal underwear (in winter) and the fabric and stretch allow for that perfectly especially with my size 33. Despite the length (I think there's some slight ability to sinch the leg opening) they are overall a great pant to take outside!
