• For donation eligible organizations in Europe, on each group’s Action Works donation page, supporters can select  “I’d like to make my donation a gift.” in the name of a friend or loved one. 

• The donor can choose to send an eCard or print a card from a template we provide. The donor can write a custom message to the person in whose name the donation is made.  If an eCard is selected the donor can choose the date the eCard is emailed to their friend or loved one, letting them know that a donation has been made on their behalf and introducing the designated organization. Here’s an example of the eCard.  

• For organizations, “donations as a gift” works the same way as standard donations on Patagonia Action Works. Information about donations on Patagonia Action Works and how funds are disbursed can be found here. 

• Below is sample copy that you can consider using to promote “donations as a gift” to your audience. We recommend personalizing the communications with the link to your organization’s Action Works profile page to make it easy for potential donors to participate.
