Protect the ocean so it can protect us
Our future is tied to the ocean. Its shared seas connect us through food, culture and sport. The home of amazing, abundant life, it’s also a powerful climate solution. Yet the practice of bottom trawling threatens to destroy this precious resource—bulldozing our ocean floor, undermining small-scale fisheries and deepening the climate crisis. Let's end this destructive practice, starting with an immediate ban in marine protected areas and inshore zones.

I love most, if not all, the Patagonia products I have ever owned. I'll also recognize "perfect" bike liners are very hard to find. But I have to honestly say these are the worst chamios' I've ever worn. The pad doesn't come up high enough in the front creating a seam that is in the worst place (you know what I'm ... Hi Bob, thank you for sharing this feedback on the lining of these shorts; we're passing it on to our designers. In the meantime, as you know, you can absolutely [return](https://www.patagonia.com/returns.html) any of our products that aren't satisfactory for you. Please feel free to reach out to us if we can be of any help!

Really like these
I bought the dirt craft shorts and really liked the liner that came with those, but you cannot buy it separately, so I gave these a shot.
I tried out the S and M and went with the M, which was the same size as my dirt craft liner. I'm typically between a 28 and 30 waist. These are awesome. Well designed for the male anatomy, and a great fit. T... Read Morehe mesh is very breathable. I won't be able to use the phone pockets on the legs with any of my mtb shorts, but I'm sure some people will find them very useful. Will likely pick up one or two more pairs.
Fit perfectly with dirt roamer shorts and I am sure they would work with others as well, but do yourself a favor and get the shorts with them. Thoughtfully minimalistic yet functional like all Patagonia products. I am 6 foot 2 inches, 200 pounds, with a 32 waist and bought a MEDIUM that fit perfect while I am normally a large for shorts and shirts.... Read More
I'm an avid MTBer and have owned several different brands of chamois shorts over the years. These were just weird. They ran long. The knee openings were a little baggy (...I wear XXL knee pads) and they didn't have a hem. The inner thigh area around the padding cut into my legs.
You'd have to have a really odd build to wear these sh... Read Moreorts.
We're truly sorry to hear about this fit issue you experienced. We are happy to help you with any questions about your return process. We also passed your thoughts along to our Design Team. Thank you so much for your feedback.

Almost perfect, not as good as the bibs
I already have the Dirt Roamer Bibs and LOVE them. I've been wearing cycling shorts for 20 years, sometimes the same pair day in and out for a week and the Dirt Roamer Bibs are the best I've ever used. I got these to see if I could get the same fit and finish with a simpler setup. I love the side pockets and overall these feel great. In a... Read Morebout a month of riding, they feel pretty good. The chamois isn't quite as breathable as the bibs but it's very supple. Unfortunately they just aren't as tight of a fit as the bibs--almost feels like it should be the other way around. They just feel a little looser and less likely to stay put, especially if I actually put something in the side pockets. Overall I do like them. Just wish there were like 5% tighter.
I try and get on the bike 3 or 4 times a week. Now that I know how well these fit and feel, I'll be ordering more.
One unrelated comment: Can you please start making slim fitting/athletic long length tops?
Hey Chris, we're glad to hear that you're loving the shorts. We do make quite a few shirts that fit this description, you can check them out [here](https://www.patagonia.com/shop/mens-mountain-biking-shirts?prefn1=fit&prefv1=slim). We also have a couple drop tail shirts to prevent exposure while riding, such as our Men's Long-Sleeved Dirt Craft Jersey.
