Lightweight sun protection

I've surfed and open-water swam in the RØ rash guard shirt. I find it easier to wear a shirt rather than repeatedly applying sunscreen. I'm 5'8" and 150 pounds; the medium is form-fitting but not 1980s-ski-racer spandex-tight. The shirt is heavier when wet, yet I never really notice it. It stays out of my way while providing UV... Surf all day

Very very comfortable, like butter. No weird rubs after hours in the water. Fits tight as it's supposed to.

Runs Small

I had a previous Patagonia rashguard, which ran quite loose in a S. These new ones cannot be put on in XS or S sizes, so I went with an L. (The L was still snug, but probably a good size. I didnt try on an XL.)

Little Too Tight for an Old Guy

This is probably a great shirt for a young fit surfer. I'm fairly fit for 69yo, 150lbs, but it was uncomfortably tight for me. I wanted a shirt to wear in the surf while fishing. Might have chosen the wrong item.

Sorry to hear about the confusion, Fred! You are correct. This is one of our tight-fitting, rash guard-style sun protection shirts. Meant more for activities in the waves.
