Protect the ocean so it can protect us
Our future is tied to the ocean. Its shared seas connect us through food, culture and sport. The home of amazing, abundant life, it’s also a powerful climate solution. Yet the practice of bottom trawling threatens to destroy this precious resource—bulldozing our ocean floor, undermining small-scale fisheries and deepening the climate crisis. Let's end this destructive practice, starting with an immediate ban in marine protected areas and inshore zones.

Per the sizing chart I originally ordered a medium for my women's size 8 foot. They were so big I ended up giving them to my boyfriend, a men's 11.5. Ordered a pair of smalls and they're a great fit.
The socks are super comfortable and have been great for hiking - exactly what I was looking for.
I took other reviewers advice and sized up as I like a bit of baggyness and it's a perfect fit. I bought this for one bag travel as I needed a compact sweater/micro fleece layer for a winter trip coming up. I feel like this layered with my Patagonia Nano puff will get me through any type of cold.
These are great everyday socks that perform well during the usual day-to-day, on hikes and on casual mountain bike rides.
They're slightly thicker than other socks I have so if your shoes are tighter for performance reasons I would look elsewhere.
They're probably one of the only bad products I've ever bought from Patagonia. They feel rough and awful on my feet. They itched instantly. I washed them to see if it would soften them up. It only made them worse. 2 stars because they look nice and maybe it's just that I don't like hemp and maybe other people love how they feel.... Read More Hard to imagine though
I ended up buying these because Patagonia quarter socks in merino wool were unavailable. These socks are fine for casual wear in non-athletic shoes. For example they work very nicely with vsrious models of Birkenstocks. However, they are not a good fit for trail running or other more athletic shoes. Hopefully Patagonia will bring back the merino wo... Read Moreol quarter socks atvsome point. The wool socks work for both casual and athletic shoes.
These socks seem to run a bit small. I am a 12 1/2 shoe size and I my foot was much bigger or I had larger ankles they would be challenging to get on.
They are very comfy to wear and are nice and cool for walks in warm weather. I cant address durability since I have only had them a couple weeks, but if they hold up I will get another pair or two

Great work socks
I bought a couple of pair for work abs loved them so much I bought a few more. They're great for winter walking and working.
I purchased 1 pair in a size small to try them out. The quality and breathability was amazing! I had been looking for a replacement for Bombas, as I had been wearing them for the last two years but their quality has been going down (more synthetic materials, thinner, and the material pills quickly). Since these were so great, I eagerly ordered 3 mo... Read Morere pairs! I'll probably invest in some more soon because I have been disappointed by every other premium sock I try, except for these.
I didn't even realize Patagonia made socks! But just like so much of what they make these have really impressed me. They're comfy, and they've stayed "fluffy" after about 5 months of wearing and washing. They move the sweat away from my feet so I don't get raisin toes even when I wear my boots all day. I'm a fan, ... Read Morewill definitely buy more.
I like these socks so much, I've now purchased several pairs. They are soft and plush, yet show little wear after months of heavy use. Although I'm a huge fan of merino wool, I wanted to try hemp as Patagonia has been toting it as an extremely environmental textile. The only drawback I've identified is that hemp seems to absorb a lit... Read Moretle more moisture than wool and has slightly less odor-resistant properties than wool. To my mind, these are minimal tradeoffs for the environmental benefits.
Having owned multiple pairs of these socks for 6 months, I've been satisfied with their performance for casual wear around the house or town. While a bit "rough" at first, they quickly soften. The biggest downside I've noticed is that due to the fabric makeup the "wet" performance is extremely poor. If they get wet wit... So, while good for casual wear, they're not the best "all around" sock for more adventurous activities.

Sweet!
Excellent socks:
I'm picky about materials & value durability. These are pretty thick (a plus!), so donning falls in hot weather (80F+); at 75F or below, they allow a neutral foot temperature.
Wore 'em in my waders fishing out West & the brand could have comped me a few pair for the testimony I was espousing to my fellow anglers... Read More & friends. I bet the ol' dogs would be happy in 'em in ski boots too. Might have to double back & send a pair or two as gifts.
The color combinations can match with the khakis & moccasin-loafers I wear to work on any given day. As others have stated, they're great for high- and mid-tops, or for wearing around the house in Birks.
I don't put these to tumble dry in the machine, but use a drying rack instead. My expectations are the three pair I own will last years!
I own multiple pairs of these socks and they are my favorite for walking, hiking and going to class. They are a perfect length for Blundstone boots as well!
I bought these for around the house and camping/hiking. They are warm and sturdy and cuter than my other hiking socks. I would recommend this purchase.
I love the way the breath, feel and fit. Best of all, they incorporate hemp into the socks. Figure the more hemp products I buy, the more they'll be using hemp, which I support wholeheartedly. Thanks Patagonia!
I wear a size 7 shoe and got the small. It's loose but not too loose. They are comfortable with my birkenstocks and around the house. I love the colors. Great quality. Live that they are hemp. Not itchy. Highly recommend
All hemp socks are great. These are actually ideal in all circumstances. I myself will mainly use them in the hot days while hiking and fishing, you have just a little more protection than a low ankle sock. They fit just in between a crew and ankle sock
Bought a pair to try them out and after six months of use they have become my favorite pair. I only use them for casual wear and around the house. I truly wouldn't wear them for hiking or extensive walking since I prefer thin technical socks for that purpose.

These socks just don't have the tight elastic fit that I'm looking for. They are slouchy and have some extra fabric around my toes which doesn't make them great for hiking. The hemp is also kind of scratchy

Great crew socks!
I absolutely love the fit, height, and style of these socks but am giving them 4 stars because the hemp blend material is not the softest. People who are super sensitive to fibers may find these to be itchy/uncomfortable.
Hi Hannah, fabric sensitivities can be really frustrating. If you find that you're feeling too uncomfortable in the Hemp Quarter Socks, go ahead and begin a [return](https://www.patagonia.com/returns.html) at any time.

Best all around sock
I deliver mail and wear these socks every day. Keeps my feet dry and no stink. Absolutely amazing. I own about 10 pairs and will continue to buy more.
Hey Kenneth, thank you for the feedback. We're sorry to hear these aren't working out. Most comfortable/ no stink sock ever
These are my favorite socks. I own 7 pairs and wear them to work (delivering mail) and hiking. They're well made and stand up to the elements. I had one issue where the toe seam came undone on a pair the first time I wore them. Contacted Patagonia and they replaced them.
Great do it all socks, super comfy, true to size and look great with shorts and jeans.
Did a mile hike and these offered a touch of comfort and didn't get sweaty. Made from hemp- what's not to like.
Feel a little 'stiff' at first- after a wear and a wash this disappears.

I purchased these socks excited about the hemp content which is great at odor and sweat control, but the socks don't really hold their shape and have left my feet full of fuzz after taking them off. Warm in cool weather without being bulky
I live in an area where it is warm during the day in summer but sometimes we get a spell when we have chilly evenings. They're medium weight cotton feel and have wider toe span so they allow my toes to spread out a little. When I wear them to lounge and to bed they feel cozy without making me sweat.

Quality Socks
Nice durable pair of socks. seem to absorb moisture very fast: thats what I was looking for with relatively sweaty feet.
I have just recently made an exchange for a smaller size, I had initially followed the size chart for reference thinking that'd be the most accurate way to estimate my size but when I had purchased a size medium I found them to be too big and they noticeably looked large, too. I felt that they were particularly loose around my toes, achilles a... Read Morend heel. So after receiving my exchange, I was excited to feel the difference. Looking at the sock first hand and unworn the sock didn't really look much smaller than the size medium. When trying them on, the socks did feel slightly more snug. Though I found it to be similar to how the size medium felt loose around my toes and achilles area, however I do realize that maybe I'm overthinking it, although it is quite concerning, for me at least, that I'm spending a considerable amount of money on these hemp socks so maybe I got a wrong batch? is the sizing off? I'm thinking I can make do for a smaller size but it doesn't exist, I don't want to return them at this point as I need socks but I would like for some kind of response that confirms how they should fit at least, thanks anyways for reading.
I have the Patagonia merino wool socks too, which I love, and Iove these also! They have a different feel than the wool, maybe a bit less smooth and noticeable when 1st put on, but still so comfy and satisfying on your feet. The colors are cool too!
These are my first set of hemp socks. Patagonia socks are always well designed and durable, these are no exception. I usually size up because I'm used to wool socks which invariably shrink over time; hemp doesn't appear to shrink - so buy your true size. Also not as breathable as wool IMO, so I prefer for mild days and daily wear. These a... Read Morere more comfortable than wool socks.
Nice socks that are fun-looking and relatively comfortable. They are not as soft as I was hoping for, but I'm optimistic that the hemp fabric will be durable and long-lasting. Overall, I'd recommend.
