Interestingly, volume of bags aren't simply calculated by multiplying the measurement. They are actually calculated by filling the bag with small plastic balls and counting how many of them fit in. Measurements won't give you the true volume.
The simple maths of WxHxL can not be use for bags volume calculation. Indeed, the bags are not perfect rectangular tank, and the fabric may have some stretch property. We do calculate volume for all the pockets as well (additional volume).
To measure bag volume, we use small balls all with the same size, to fill the bags and calculate the maximum volume available. This method is used by the whole bag industry.
So, unfortunately, we do not know how much a bag can hold. But depending on what you're putting in, I would recommend a maximum of 10-15 kgs.
