Protect the ocean so it can protect us

Our future is tied to the ocean. Its shared seas connect us through food, culture and sport. The home of amazing, abundant life, it’s also a powerful climate solution. Yet the practice of bottom trawling threatens to destroy this precious resource—bulldozing our ocean floor, undermining small-scale fisheries and deepening the climate crisis. Let's end this destructive practice, starting with an immediate ban in marine protected areas and inshore zones.

Frequently Asked Questions

Requesting a Repair

How do I request a repair?

Simply enter your item details and repair needs (including images) in our Repair Portal. We’ll review your request and update you in 2-5 working days. If we can repair your item, shipping instructions will be provided to get your gear to our repair center.

How do I send my item for repair?

Once your repair request has been accepted, you’ll receive shipping instructions via email. Wash your item and carefully mark the repair areas with masking tape–or any other tape that doesn’t leave any sticky residue that could damage your item. Then follow the shipping instructions for your country–make sure to request tracking and keep hold of the receipt.

Where do I find the style number?

Printed on the white label – or printed directly inside wetsuits – is a unique 5-digit number. To locate your style number, find the combination of letters and numbers beginning with STY, ITEM or STYLE inside your item.*

Here’s an example: STY54321FA18 = style number #54321.

Don't have your style number? No problem! Just leave this field blank when submitting your repair request.

*Be careful! There are additional 5-digit codes inside your item beginning with PO or RN–these are not your style numbers.
How do I change my return shipping address?

If your return shipping information is incorrect or needs to be updated, simply contact our Customer Service team. We’ll update your delivery address–and we’ll let our repair team know too!

Home Repairs

What repairs can I do at home and how do I request spare parts?

Our DIY repair videos and guides provide useful repair tricks for fixing many issues at home. Learn how to remove pilling, replace zippers and much more. Just contact our Customer Service team for any parts or trims you may need.

Wetsuits, Waders & Items bought elsewhere

Can I still repair my Patagonia product if I didn't buy it on your website?

Yes! It doesn’t matter where you bought your Patagonia gear–if it's broke, we’ll fix it!
Because fixing your gear is part of our commitment to a new model for the consumption and ownership of apparel. For quality related issues, a proof of purchase may be requested.

Are waders and wading boots repairable?

All waders can be sent for evaluation – once evaluated, we’ll update you with what can be fixed. Only selected styles of Danner wading boots are repairable. Submit a repair request and our Customer Service team will let you know if we can fix your item.

Can I send my wetsuit for repair?

Yes, all wetsuits can be repaired – but not all wetsuit issues can be fixed. Small tears and broken zippers are easily repaired. Cracked or damaged powerseams – the black rubber seams – cannot be replaced. Instead, our specialists will remove the powerseam and blindstitch the area. Extensive wear and tear may be irreparable.

Unrepairable & end-of-life items

What if my gear can’t be fixed?

Sometimes an item is just too well-loved and worn-out to be repaired. If your item is unrepairable, our Customer Service team will provide options for your end-of-life gear.

How can I recycle my end-of-life gear?

We take back all Patagonia items for recycling. Visit one of our stores or contact our Customer Service team to recycle your gear–keeping your gear out of landfill and living on as something new.
