Read Moreelling mix of fly fishing meditation, part biological investigation, and part travelogue. French uses his passion for fishing as an entryway to explore salmonid biology, fisheries research and management policy, and the varied aspects of human association with wild and hatchery fish. French deftly weaves between these various subjects, keeping his writing crisp and captivating while providing ample information that leaves the reader with a much greater understanding of the ecological to historical context of the Yellowstone fishery. The author's variable knowledge, humor, and skill at succinctly explaining his subject make this book an enthralling read and a great introduction to the fisheries of the greater Yellowstone area.
