Can I order on the Patagonia website and pay with Klarna?

Only customers shipping to Germany with a German billing address, can use the Klarna Pay Later option at our EU checkout.

What information do I need to provide when I make a purchase?

If you want to make a purchase with Klarna you need to provide your name, address and email address. For some orders you may need to provide your mobile number or date of birth, too. This information will be collected at the Patagonia Europe checkout section.

All information will be sent to your email address, including payment reminders and links to your online statements so it's very important that you give the correct details, as otherwise you will not receive the payment information.

How can I pay with Klarna Pay Later on your website?

After choosing Klarna Pay Later as your payment option, and clicking PLACE ORDER, you will be redirected to the Klarna website where you can choose between Klarna's Buy Now, Pay in 14 days, or Buy Now, Pay in 30 days options. Once your selection has been made, you will be redirected back to the Patagonia Europe website where your order number will be confirmed. For more information view our Klarna Payments page here.

Is my payment information safe?

Payment information is processed securely by Klarna. No card details are transferred to or held by Patagonia. All transactions take place via connections secured with the latest industry standard security protocols.

How does it work?

Once your order has shipped from our warehouse, we will send a note to Klarna to let them know your order has shipped and the value of the shipment. Klarna will send you an email with further details on how to pay for your order after shipment. For more information view our Klarna Payments page here.

An item from my order is missing, do I still have to pay for this item?

No, if an item from your order is out-of-stock and cannot be shipped with your order, Patagonia will notify Klarna so that an adjusted invoice can be prepared for your payment.

I want to make a return before paying for my order, how can I do so?

If you would like to make a return before paying for your order, you can notify Klarna via the emails they will share with you containing updates on your payment options. To return the item(s) to Patagonia, you can follow the instructions on our Returns Page here.

Once Patagonia has received your return, we will notify Klarna of the value of the returned items, so they can send you an adjusted invoice.

Please note, standard shipping costs will only be refunded in the event an entire order is returned. Express shipping costs will not be refunded.

What happens if I cancel my order?

If your order is cancelled due to item(s) being out-of-stock, Patagonia will notify Klarna, so that your order is also cancelled on their side. Please note that is is not possible for you to cancel your order after checking out on our website, so please make sure to review your order details carefully before placing your order.

Have you received my payment?
