Warm, truly water resistant, and versatile
I love this jacket. I was tired of other trench coat-style raincoats either not being effective or losing their effect after 1-2 seasons so I invested in this Patagonia set. The pockets can be a bit hard to get your hands in, but that's also due to being weather resistant so it's expected. I am very satisfied with this jacket and the fit. Because it is slim fit, if you are between sizes, size up. I wear a Small in almost every jacket I own, and bought a small in this, and it fits perfectly.
Perfect for the PNW. Rain,
Perfect for the PNW. Rain, wind, flurries, snow, this coat can handle it all. Haven't work the liner out of the house by itself yet, but it fits well and didn't pooch out when I sat down in it, even though there is no two-way zipper in the liner. I have an old Tres and thought this would be a stylish replacement. Unfortunately in this design the liner attaches all the way up the shell. When they are attached the collar was bulky and stiff - mostly due to the zipper. In my Tres the collar is independent and the shell lays flat. I loved the Vos - the color, cut, etc. but I sent it back.
Perfect for Travel
I bought this for an upcoming trip in the fall to Ireland. I wanted something that was waterproof but yet warm and not bulky. Being a Florida lady I don't have that many warm coats and wanted one that was versatile. This seems to fit the bill. It is form fitting which I like and the right length for me at 5"3". I bought the Navy and ... Read Morethe color should work well with all outfits. I looked quite a bit before buying and glad I did as this is perfect for my needs. Best overall jacket!
This jacket replaces 4 of my jackets! It is perfect for everyday errands, nice enough for business work attire, and rainy days. I have used just the outer layer when it is raining and warmer. The inner layer is great for walking and ties nicely around my waist when I get warm. I can't recommend this jacket set enough!
Exactly what I was looking for
I am the person that is always cold - 75 degrees... sweatshirt weather - so I was looking for a long jacket that could easily layer. This is perfect. Light layers with the option to remove the outer layer and I can still fit a sweatshirt underneath. I'm not sure why other reviews say the arms are too long. The arms on the XS fits me perfectly.... Read More I also love the slim fit cut. It's flattering without being too tight anywhere. Very happy with the quality as well.
A Hug in a Coat
I love this coat so much. I went to the Patagonia store to try it on and to see the colors. I ended up going with the blue, and I love it, but sometimes I wish I also had the red. Great except for short sleeves
Great construction. Perfect for rainy winters. Torso fit well, but sleeves were 2-3 inches too short, so will be returning. I have this coat in a medium in a different color and the sleeves are perfect, but shoulders are a bit roomy. 5'9'' 135 lbs.
Love this coat!
I bought this coat for my wife's birthday AND SHE LOVES IT!!! I showed her several choices from Patagonia and North Face for a 3-season coat and she picked this one due to the very nice styling of not only the outer rain shell, but the warm liner also. It suits her for these cold fall/winter mornings and wears just the liner all the time!!
The zip was horrible. A lot of trouble getting it to go up and down. The sleeves were very long. Perfect for Iceland.

Perfect If Sleeves Were Shorter
I love the fit of this coat except for the length of the sleeves. I am very disappointed because the coat is very flattering and comfortable. I would have the sleeves shortened but due to the snaps and double layer, it cannot be done. Therefore I have to return the coat. I am surprised Patagonia doesn't have a petite line.

Warm and great in the rain!
I purchased this coat for our trip to Alaska so I had options for the ever-changing weather. I spent over an hour hiking in the rain and stayed warm and dry! The longer length was the correct choice for me. I love the versatility and happy with the purchase.
Three in one is three times the trouble
I thought it would be economical to get a 3-in-1 jacket -- like wow, three jackets for the price of one! But it's really not worth the trouble. If it was warm enough for either layers to be worn by itself, then I would just grab a waist-length jacket. I also found that the edge of the coat flares in a strange way due to the 3-in-1 design.
I purchased this parka as I was looking for a coat to wear in the 30s and 40s degree range, warmer than a light parka but not as puffy as the parkas for the colder temperatures. Warm and functional jacket!
I love the options of this jacket. The inner jacket is perfect for fall, the outer is perfect for the rain, and together it is a warm option for early winter (with or without rain). A bonus that the rain jacket dries quickly when wet. Love this jacket!
Great Rain Coat
I wanted a full length coat to keep me warm, dry and to look good for city excursions. This coat does it all. Good looking and functional
Good looking and functional. Love the color. The pockets on both the outside and inside are really useful and handy when I just do a quick errand or take a walk around the neighborhood. Perfect for Fall. With the insert should be sufficient for Winter in Boston too.
Really well thought out construction and whole quality. I ordered a size up because I wanted to layer and wear winter sweaters underneath and even without the inner liner coat, it fits well if a little bit roomy. This one was more expensive but in this case, you get what you pay for. My only complaint is that the pockets are designed to keep water out and are not so comfortable to fit your hand into because of the flaps over each one.

Warm And Stylish
Pros: I was told by a Patagonia rep that with the zip in parka, this jacket was good for weather 40* F and up. I run on the cold side so I wore it in London in the fall where the temps were 50-64*F and rainy. This was the perfect jacket. It is heavy but once you put it on it feels lighter. The hardest things for me to find are jackets that fit my shoulders well without being too baggy in the trunk and finding outerwear with sleeves that are long enough. This jacket is perfect in both of these areas. Also, the hood is well designed and offers protection during wet weather. Very pleased.
I don't know if I've ever been more pleased with a purchase. I can't wait for the season to start and continue changing so I can wear this in stages. Pretty Color / Tried M & L with different layers
Because of the reviews, I ordered a M & L. I always wear a M in Patagonia. This is a slim fit coat so I didn't expect to wear multiple layers under it nor did I expect it to fit with a heavy layer under it. I tried the M & L with a base layer, sweater vest and sweater jacket. I did find the shoulders to be a little tight but because th... Great style, flexible design, and DRY!
A well-designed, flexible coat system since lining can be removed. Coat fits appropriately with and without lining; snaps at wrist help to keep sleeves from being too long. Ive had this coat for 3-4 years now, and its hands-down the best winter coat Ive owned. Its very warm and holds up well to New England winters. Read Moree to more comfortably fit more layers underneath. I ordered this year's version in a S, and it is pretty disappointing. While the old one has metal zippers, this one has plastic. The lining material in this one feels thinner and a bit cheap. They got rid of the lovely wrist cuffs too, so now the overall look is pretty dull. They changed the hood adjuster so that now these tacky plastic tabs hang out. And the fit is a bad. The sleeves in this year's version are narrower than my old coat's, which defeats the entire purpose of having ordered a larger one to accommodate layers. And the body of this coat is all frumpy. What a shame. I really really hope Patagonia isn't going downhill. I'll be heartbroken and hard -pressed to find a new go-to company.

The pockets are a huge upgrade - so many awesome pockets in the right places. The cut of the parka is not as good. My old parka had a slight fit and flare shape and fit my 5’7” 145lb hourglass frame well in a size S. This new parka in a size M has room in the waist and just barely fits over my hips - why the straight manly cut, Patagonia? The other downgrade is the sleeves. My old Patagonia parka had zippers on the sleeve openings for ultimate sleeve adjustments but this coat has kinda tight sleeve openings with snaps that tighten further - not as functional, especially when I’m trying to see my smart watch.

Not exactly what I was expecting considering how much it cost. It has not shrunk a lot, just enough that it feels tight across the shoulders and the lining feels a bit to large for the coat. With the inner coat zipped in, it no longer hangs straight, but pulls out, presumably because the inner coat (which wasn't washed) is now too large for the outer shell. It is still wearable, but not particularly comfortable. There is no warning that there is a risk of shrinking. So to summarise, an excellent jacket if you will never want to wash it.

Hello Kallista, thanks so much for your feedback and we're sorry to hear this has happened. We are really happy that the jacket was everything you were looking for. However, this shrinking of the outer shell sounds like a possible warranty issue. We kindly ask you to reach out to our [Customer Service team](https://eu.patagonia.com/gb/en/customer-service.html#searchterm=customer%20service) who will arrange a solution for you. Again, thanks for taking the time to provide us with feedback and please let us know if you have any other questions!
