Protect the ocean so it can protect us
Our future is tied to the ocean. Its shared seas connect us through food, culture and sport. The home of amazing, abundant life, it’s also a powerful climate solution. Yet the practice of bottom trawling threatens to destroy this precious resource—bulldozing our ocean floor, undermining small-scale fisheries and deepening the climate crisis. Let's end this destructive practice, starting with an immediate ban in marine protected areas and inshore zones.

Not too sure about the two-tone matt/shiny aesthetic, the spiral arm baffles or the lack of a ‘hang’ string. However it is super warm, super light and wind proof.
product description says it is a slim fit. Yup. Perhaps a bit too slim? I have a bunch of other Patagonia tops in size Men's M and they all are perfect for me. But for this one, I probably should have sized up to an L. I can squeeze into it but it is definitely tight. OK as a under-layer I guess...
I really thought this was going to be the answer to my fall, hiking needs, but the chest was snug, and the arms were comically tight.. My guess is if I had moved to the XL, the body wouldve been too large and the sleeves too long. I switched to Patagonia from TNF because they generally have a boxier fit, but not this one!
These are great weight & warm. Easy to pull on & off, more so than I expected. After getting my first one in black, I ordered another in the wavy blue. My lady got one in the blue also. On sale was my incentive to try them!
This pullover doesn't get nearly the love it deserves. Large is about 8.5 oz, more fill than the down sweater and in my opinion does what it is designed for, provide static insulation during long periods when your pack is off of you. This is a bare bones piece, 1/2 zip, no pockets for hands and incredibly light and warm with room for a midi or... Read More as a midi itself. On closeout, this piece is a steal.
Similar to Nano Puff Pullover but lighter and a bit warmer
I have been wearing a Nano Puff Pullover for a while now and still like it, but thought I would give this a shot as well. I really like it. It is even lighter than the Nano Puff and warmer as well. I also like that it is a touch longer than the Nano Puff. I can't vouch for the toughness of the fabric just yet, but the warmth for weight is hard... Read More to beat.
One note on colors: I looked into all three colors and the black and basin green are a bit shiny at the top which isn't my favorite. The blue isn't which I like. But I still decided to go with the black so it might resist stains.
All in all, I am really excited with this purchase and am glad to have it in my collection.
Love this jacket so much I bought another in a different color. I have a small frame and this jacket fits me perfect. Its a slim fit for which is perfect for me frame size. Very warm, us it to go hiking and causal wear.
Just what I needed for winter golf or pickleball!!
Fits a little snug and very light weight, so not restrictive. Very warm and blocks wind better than expected. I do wish there was a small side pocket though.
I recently used this layered over a smart wool tee and smart wool long sleeve short and under a Gore-Tex(R) Pro shell during a back country snowboarding trip in BC. The daytime temps were -27C and sunny. This Anorak was quite warm and very light weight. It is a slimmer fit than other Patagonia jackets I have but this was perfect as a layering syste... The jacket does feel a bit tight when putting it on, but thats just the design. Once on it feels very warm and cozy. Definitely can say it keeps you warm in cold weather.
Keep my house @ 50-55 degrees to save energy. This product with a t-shirt or micro d
Pullover is great. Good outside with a shirt jac all winter. I live in Wyoming mountain foothills.
An excellent garment, really warm. Used for hiking and casual wear. My only criticism is that a kangaroo pocket would be useful but, thats my preferance. I have bought 2 of these by the way.
Love this garment. Super light and well made. Has proper ease for pulling over the shoulders with stretching or breaking stitches. Tightens at waste to trap body heat. I like the high collar as I always wear my collars upright in winter months. Its truly a down sweater.
Like the weight & warmth of this pullover. Really like the outside pocket on an item that can be used as mid layer or outer one. It's great place to keep the cell phone handy. Great price on sale always a plus.
The AlpLight Down Pullover does a great job keeping me warm on hikes, and for casual wear. It is lightweight, and easily "smooshes" into a side pocket of my carry-on bag when traveling. The only suggestion I have would be to add a kangaroo-style zip pocket in the front.
I bought this to wear over my wool long Johns. Its a little tight but Im 225lb a normally 215lb so it would fit perfect if I was under 220 Im guessing. When its 45-32 degree I only wear a UA cold gear long John, a 350 weight wool long John, then this pull over under my outer jacket. 32 & below I will add a down vest over this pullover am I stay... tl;dr - restrictive arms/shoulders. Buy and Try!
To test this pullover out I went on a ski trip. I used it as a midlayer over a capilene air hooded baselayer or a r1 hoody. In terms of performance (maintaining heat, shedding moisture, managing sweat, etc) it did great and that's why I'm torn about the fit issues I had.
When wearing thi... Read Mores in a more casual setting, the back shoulder area feels tight but its mainly fine. If you bend down it feels like the pullover is resisting your movement. When you put this pullover into an activity type setting (skiing in my case) the restrictiveness of the back shoulders really is not great. I'm quite bummed because the rest of the fit of the pullover is everything I was looking for: slim, minimal and light.
For me this is most likely going to be a return but I highly recommend trying this pullover out and seeing if the fit in the shoulders works for you. You'll be very happy with it if that ends up working out.
We appreciate your feedback on this slim fit down pullover! You might prefer something from our slim fit Nano-Air series, as the fabric and synthetic insulation is stretchy and designed for movement. This is my 2nd Patagonia coat, true quality all around. My 1st coat lasted 12 years! and I wore it almost everyday. I will never buy anything else but Patagonia. Thank you
love it overall the fit is very good with the texture and the quality the only issue with the jacket is the 3/4 zip wishing it was a zip up, but i still love it.
Very satified with the product. The size is a good fit, the color is nice (dark blue) and the product is thin, soft and cozy but very warm at the same time. The only thing that is missing: some side pockets :)
as always a great piece of gear. long enough, plenty warm. maybe one improvement: if the pullcord on vertical pocket zipper just a bit less long, it would not get caught in the big collar zipper when closing to put top into storage.
wanted something to throw on quick under a hard shell for early morning dog walks, mid layer for skiing and ice fishing and this nails it. The right amount of warmth that is not bulky or heavy. Love it.
6ft 168lbs, size medium. Love the design, low weight and warm are the big selling points for me. Fits very well. Classic Patagonia fit, pairs well with the tech fleece r2/r1.
The perfect autumn jacket and probably winter base layer. As a light down jacket / vest should be this is it. Give you that warm I’m wearing my down duvet outside feeling but is a neat piece of outdoor clothing. Fits true to size, super happy with it, wore it everyday since I got it.
If I have to buy a product, I like what Patagonia stands for in terms of reducing its environmental impact. I must confess though that I do not like the cut of Patagonia clothing. I prefer my clothing to be slim fitting, however the Arm holes from the body to the sleeves are often cut too high. They are tight. This product is no different. And furt... Read Morehermore there just needs to be a little stretch in this product and in the better sweater et Al. Its one thing to wear this as a casual shirt Around town but its but its entirely different to wear it as performance clothing. When we're in the back country we need things to be a little bit stretchy. The last thing we want to feel like is our clothing is holding our performance back.
Having neither a kangaroo pocket, as one would expect from a pullover anorak-style jacket, nor two side waist-level pockets, was a poor design choice that limits the functionality of the coat.
Hi Shane! Thank you for taking the time to write us a review on the pullover. We're really sorry to hear about the disappointment with the lack of pockets. Almost perfect
I love this pullover but I wish it had a hood. Its a great static layer for cold nights after backpacking. A hood would make it perfect.
Awesome pullover. Chest zip pocket nearly invisible when zipped. Only wish is that there were a pair of those beautiful zippers for hand pockets too. And I do love fleecie liners in pockets as well.
Both my husband and I bought two sizes of this half-zip crew to try. We liked the concept. But after we tried it on, we felt it was just OK and definitely not worth the price. We didn't care for the style once we had it on. We felt it would be better to just use a full-front zip puffer down to make it easier to layer on/off when hiking, etc. W... Hey Lynne, thanks for the review. We appreciate the feedback on our Alplight Down Pullover. The main objective with the Alpine Downlab pieces is to have gear that is extremely lightweight and versatile. This piece in particular is great for someone looking to eliminate extra bulk when layering but still remain warm; it works great for high output activities such as belaying, or for when you need to pack small on a backpacking trip. We're sorry to hear it didn't end up working out for you, you mentioned wishing it was a full-zip jacket. We do have a full-zip version you can check out [here](https://www.patagonia.com/product/womens-alplight-down-jacket/85545.html?dwvar_85545_color=FLBL).

So Warm....
This is SO warm.... for such a small jacket. And it's made of recycled fishing nets.
Just received the jacket and have been out all day wearing it for warmth on a day of drizzle and fog. Its perfect, and in the Boralis Green got many compliments. Excellent piece. Thanks Patagonia!
