Seems much thinner than previous years
I have been purchasing Patagonia hi-loft jackets for my toddler for the past few seasons. This years version (2021-2022) seems noticeably thinner than my childs jacket from previous years, and Im doubtful it will keep them warm in cold weather. Hi Jessica, we're sorry to hear the Hi-Loft Down Sweater Hoody you received feels thinner than previous years. We're emailing you to help get this sorted out.
Toddlers have big heads. Jackets dont.
My grandson is two years and three months old. I bought a 3T baby hi loft sweater hoodie which will fit great around December when he visits Grandma in NYC. But that great fit will only take place in the shoulders and sleeves. His head already maxes out the hood. I recommend Patagonia makes hoods that are longerhigher if you please. It cant hurt th... Yall...when it comes to warm weather gear, I dont f%#! around! I hate mediocre winter gear, and I hate being cold. So do my kids. So I go forward the best I can get. Hello Katherine, we're sorry to hear this jacket wasn't what you expected! Please note that this is only water resistant and it is not waterproof. Overall great jacket, fits well for my 2.5 years old
I love this jacket, very warm and comfortable. It fits pretty well for my 2.5 years old, and will probably be good fit next winter as well. The only issue was the color- it looks very different in reality than seen on the website. I really liked what looked like a dark red on the website, but it turned out to be a lot more pinkish..
This is the second hi-loft I bought for my son. He was able to wear the 12-18m for 2 years and now my daughter will wear it. I buy them one size too big and they can wear them for a couple years. I wanted a warm and practical jacket for the winter months in Chicago, my son can be outside and get on all the fun with this jacket without feeling constrained by the material. Not a fan of shiny material
I had a baby down sweater for my son last winter, and it was amazing. This year, I bought the hi-loft instead. The material is awful. Every drop of drool and snot stains the coat and leaves it looking disgusting. Not a kid friendly material! Please go back to the old one!!

Have one in every size
The only jacket I trust to keep my kids warm in the Boston and Maine cold. Because the down is super compress-able, I also feel totally comfortable having my kids wear it in their car seats. Love that it's hooded and the hood fits great in the event you forget or lose your hat (AHEM - my son).
Great Jacket needs a hook & loop
We got this jacket because the one we had was getting a bit too small & we loved the style of it (similar to the one we currently have by a French company Obaibi). Our child currently wears a 2T and we got a 3T, so it is a bit large but not too large where they are being swallowed by the jacket.
Broke on 2 days
I bought two hi loft jackets for my two sons. The first jacket ripped within a week and the zipper of the other jacket broke in 2 days. I’m very disappointed with the product, i thought that for the price I paid they would last at least a year without any damages.

Excellent for my 4-1/2 year old!
Purchased this coat for my 4-1/2 year old. He is super skinny and tall (33lbs and 45”). It’s hard to find coats that are long enough for him without being too wide.
