I'm on my third pair of these! Love them! They fit my body pretty well. The 27 is the smallest size that will fit over my hips, and I usually have to use a belt to cinch in the waist a little bit. Delighted to see Patagonia selling these jeans and even more that they fit really well, as a size 14/16 UK. Only minor niggle - the size label, whilst in cardboard, was fixed to the jeans with plastic tabs, why not sewn on?
Rugged, stretched out significantly since purchase
Love the high waist. Love the fabric. Not wearing well over time though. I'd like to think I've dropped a pant size, but I think this material has simply stretched out in the past four months. If the goal is really to consider the planet, this kind of consistent fit would make it SO much easier for loyal customers to rely on this brand.

Small waist/big hips
I want to love the jeans. I have worn them for a few months now. I actually ordered two sizes up, a 34 instead of a 32. I have larger thighs, skinny jeans are always a challenge. There is only a 3in difference between my waist and hips. These are definitely made for a curvier figure. The waist sits high and fits fine. The butt and hip area is very ... Read Moregenerous. This is useful if you are active while wearing them. My biggest issue is that the right leg seems to shift and turn as I wear them. I often find the seam migrating to the front of my leg. This is probably a "me issue" and not a "them issue". I wear them for comfort not for looks. If you have an hourglass figure this will probably fit great and look great on you. If you have a straighter build or have athletic legs the fit may be a little odd.
I have found Patagonia pants to run small in general. These were no different. The style just doesnt work for me either. I love that theyre organic, but thats about all I can say good for them.
