For the real impact that the company has on environmental activism and its work ethic.
Which Patagonia environmental initiative is closest to your heart?
I witnessed the launch of Patagonia Action Works, and it really hit me that we were trying to do something to change the system and connect people to grassroots environmental groups. It's a great platform, and I'm proud to see it growing.
What’s the best thing about your job?
I really enjoy learning new facts about a product - I can be a product nerd. It is always fun to advise a customer on a product that fits their activity, needs and expectations. Customers sometimes give us product feedback or just tell a story about their recent trip or adventure. This leads to many interesting conversations with customers.
What is the craziest thing that you have seen at work?
I remember the first week I arrived, it was in June. One warm morning, I was surprised to almost bump into somebody in his bathing trunks. My colleague was on his way to take a swim in the canal next to the office. I found it very fun!
What is the best thing about working for Patagonia?
I really enjoy our lunch talk programme. I have learned about Patagonia sports ambassadors, environmental initiatives, and colleagues.
